POSITION SUMMARY:


To maintain accurate inventory, receive raw materials and product into IQMS, issue appropriate materials to production, to move production and other items from the plant floor to designated areas; store and ship according to customer requirements and PCI procedures while maintaining compliance with Department of Homeland Security, OSHA, FDA, and other certification agency requirements; to maintain a safe working environment, operate material handling equipment, and follow all company GMP and Safety Rules; to ship orders completely, accurately, and in a timely manner.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Operates forklift in a safe manner. Charge and water forklift batteries.
  • Loads and unloads trailers for shipments and receipts.
  • Utilizes IQMS transactions for all receipts, movements and issuance of raw materials and packaging components.
  • Utilizes IQMS transactions for all receipts, movements, staging, and shipping of customer orders, warehouse transfers or customer returns.
  • Secures trailers with dock locks or wheel chocks before entering with a forklift. Removes or unlocks when loading / unloading is complete.
  • Installs and removes dock plates, opens and closes dock doors and ensures they remain locked for security and safety reasons.
  • Labels, stretch wrap, stages, and ships orders in compliance with customer requirements and PCI procedures.
  • Repack of cartons.
  • Cycles count locations each shift.
  • Checks hard allocation at beginning and end of shift and notifies Warehouse Lead of issues or shortages.
  • Performs RTI’s for color, liner, and WIP caps returned to the warehouse from production.
  • Loads and unloads shuttle trailers and trailers to outside warehouses and other PCI facilities using appropriate transactions.
  • Prepares weekly inventory for the leads to report back to Corporate
  • Prints ship sets, bills of lading, and labels.
  • Maintains the Dump station for resin. 
  • Performs RMA’s and PO receipts.
  • Moving raw materials to the production area to and from the warehouse.
  • Makes production boxes using the box maker or using the tape gun; loads box maker with boxes.
  • Moves production from plant floor and loads onto trucks or places in designated warehouse location.
  • Discards scrap in bailer; changes bailer when full.
  • Maintains staging lanes using forklift.
  • Takes part in fiscal year-end inventory audit preparation.
  • Receives finish products from palletizer and stages to inventory lanes.
  • Responsible for picking the inventory from finish goods to staging lanes.
  • Preparing all necessary paperwork for shipping.
  • Responsible or the unloading of rail cars ensuring the seals are intact.
  • Unloading rail cars into the proper silos.
  • Responsible for all cleaning duties inside and outside the warehouse.  

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Performs duties that may be assigned.
  • Backup: Warehouse Lead.
Requirements

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years forklift experience.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Pushing or Pulling (5-25 lbs. typically 40 – 70% of the day);
  • Lifting or Carrying (5-25 lbs. typically 0-15% of the day);
  • Simple grasping (15-70%);
  • Firm grasping (15-70%).


EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Computer terminal, tape gun, box maker, lift truck, cart, pallet jack, barrel, dolly, copier, scissors, radio, RF gun, and copier.
