Job Summary  

InkPixi is looking for a creative, highly curious, and social-media-obsessed Social Media & Trend Marketing Intern to help us identify emerging consumer trends, create engaging social content, and rapidly test new product and design ideas.? This is a seasonal position. 

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands what is happening on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and other social platforms—and, more importantly, can recognize why something is gaining traction and how InkPixi can participate in the conversation in an authentic way.? 

The intern will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to turn emerging trends, hobbies, niches, humor, and cultural conversations into content and potential personalized-product opportunities.? 

A major focus of this position will be supporting InkPixi's rapid product testing strategy, including initiatives where dozens of new designs are developed, launched, promoted, and evaluated within a short period of time.? 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Social Media Trend & Niche Research? 

• Monitor TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, Google Trends, and other relevant platforms for emerging trends, niches, hobbies, humor, phrases, and consumer interests? 
• Identify trends that could translate into personalized apparel and gift concepts? 
• Research trending content among different audiences and generations? 
• Monitor competitors, creators, influencers, and other brands for emerging content and product trends? 
• Identify underserved or emerging sub-niches that may represent new product opportunities? 
• Present trend findings and potential product/content ideas to the marketing and creative teams? 
• Help maintain a running trend and opportunity pipeline for future design development? 

Rapid Design Testing & Product Development Support? 

• Work with the marketing and creative teams to support rapid development and testing of new designs  
• Help develop social hooks, sayings, themes, and content concepts around new designs  
• Assist in prioritizing which trends and niches should be tested? 
• Create social content that allows InkPixi to quickly gauge consumer reaction to new concepts? 
• Monitor early engagement to identify potential winning designs, niches, and creative directions? 
• Capture comments and customer feedback that could lead to additional designs or variations? 
• Help determine which concepts should be expanded, modified, retested, or discontinued? 
• Share social insights with graphic designers and marketing teams to help guide the next round of creative development? 

Social Content Creation? 

• Create short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and other relevant platforms? 
• Take photos and videos of products, employees, production processes, events, and behind-the-scenes activities? 
• Be comfortable appearing in front of the camera as well as behind it? 
• Develop creative ideas for videos, posts, stories, polls, challenges, and other interactive content? 
• Write engaging captions, hooks, headlines, and calls to action? 
• Edit short-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms? 
• Create content that feels natural to each social platform rather than simply repurposing traditional advertising? 
• Maintain a consistent flow of content while still being able to react quickly when a trend emerges  

Social Media Management & Community Engagement? 

• Assist with scheduling and publishing content across InkPixi's social channels? 
• Maintain an organized social media content calendar? 
• Monitor comments, messages, shares, and other audience engagement? 
• Engage with followers in a way that reflects InkPixi's brand personality? 
• Identify interesting customer comments, questions, jokes, and conversations that could inspire additional content or products? 
• Help build relationships with customers, creators, and communities connected to key InkPixi niches? 

Testing, Analytics & Reporting? 

• Track performance of new designs and social content, including:? 
• Views? 
• Engagement rate? 
• Shares? 
• Saves? 
• Comments? 
• Clicks? 
• Follower growth? 
• Website traffic? 
• Product interest and sales when available? 
• Compare performance across different niches, hooks, formats, and creative approaches? 
• Identify patterns in what is—and isn't—working? 
• Help create simple weekly reporting highlighting winners, losers, surprises, and recommended next tests? 
• Use results to help improve future content and product-development decisions? 

Knowledge?/Skills/Abilities 

• Strong interest in social media, Ecommerce, consumer trends, and digital marketing? 
• Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other major social platforms? 
• Naturally curious about why certain products, memes, hobbies, aesthetics, or topics suddenly become popular? 
• Comfortable creating content using a smartphone? 
• Comfortable appearing on camera? 
• Basic short-form video editing skills? 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills? 
• Ability to write conversational social copy rather than overly polished corporate messaging? 
• Creative thinker who enjoys generating and testing new ideas  
• Able to work quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously? 
• Comfortable experimenting and learning from ideas that don't perform as expected? 
• Able to balance planned content with fast reactions to emerging trends? 
• Strong attention to detail and organization? 
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with marketing and creative teams? 
• Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content-creation tools is a plus? 
• Photography and videography experience is a plus? 
• Familiarity with social analytics, Google Trends, or ecommerce platforms is a plus? 

  Qualifications  

• High school diploma or equivalent required? 
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Ecommerce, or a related field preferred? 
• Personal or professional social media content creation experience preferred? 
• Portfolio, TikTok/Instagram account, or examples of social content encouraged?
