Frac Sand Mining & Processing | Rotating Shifts
Earn $21 - $24 / Hour • Monthly Production Bonus • Company-Paid Medical, Dental & Vision • 401(k) Match
As our Quality Control Lab Technician, you run the hourly and daily tests that tell the plant whether the sand is on spec — and when it isn't, your call is the one that gets things corrected before a customer ever sees it.
This is hands-on, high-tempo lab work: prep the sample, run the test, read the number, log it, speak up. If you take pride in being right the first time, you'll do well here.
Coming from mining, aggregates, materials testing, or any heavy industrial lab? You'll be right at home.
What You'll Do
- Run hourly and daily tests on frac sand samples — quality, consistency, and spec compliance.
- Prep samples start to finish: weighing, sieving, mixing, and whatever the method calls for.
- Perform particle size distribution, density, and chemical composition testing using approved equipment and techniques.
- Operate, clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab instruments — sieves, hydrometers, scales, and more.
- Log results accurately in lab records and computer systems. Numbers people can trust.
- Compile reports and flag any deviation from quality standards — fast, and to the right person.
- Keep the lab clean, organized, and safe, and follow every safety protocol and industry regulation.
- Help improve how we test: new procedures, better methods, smarter workflows.
