Quality Control Technician
Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician who can move between active jobsites, inspect work completed by subcontractor crews, and identify what must be corrected or completed before a project moves forward. This role serves as a field quality checkpoint, creating clear punch lists and helping ensure the punch crew has the information needed to complete corrective work efficiently.

Who We Are

Rally Construction Group (RCG) is the construction division at the heart of the Rally family of companies, which spans healthcare; humanitarian and defense; residential, custom, and commercial construction; and transportation services. Grounded in our faith-forward approach, we are committed to stewardship, operational excellence, and meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

We're not building an ordinary company — and we're not looking for ordinary leaders.

At our core, we believe great organizations are built by healthy, intentional, and high-character leaders. Culture isn't an afterthought here; it's our competitive advantage. We invest deeply in you because we know that when our people grow, the company grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel between active jobsites to inspect work completed by subcontractor crews.
  • Identify incomplete, deficient, damaged, or nonconforming work that requires punch or corrective work.
  • Create clear and accurate punch lists identifying what needs to be completed and where.
  • Document deficiencies using notes, photos, locations, quantities, and other information needed by the punch crew.
  • Compare completed work against project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and RCG quality expectations.
  • Communicate identified punch items to superintendents, field leadership, and punch crews.
  • Reinspect completed punch work and verify deficiencies have been corrected.
  • Maintain organized records of inspections, open punch items, and completed corrections.
  • Identify recurring workmanship or quality issues and communicate trends to field leadership.
  • Help ensure projects are ready for the next phase of work, builder inspection, or turnover.

What You Need

  • 2+ years of construction or skilled-trade experience; experience with punch work, quality control, or field inspections is preferred.
  • General understanding of construction methods, workmanship standards, and common jobsite deficiencies.
  • Ability to recognize incomplete or poor-quality work and clearly communicate what needs to be corrected.
  • Ability to read basic construction plans, scopes of work, and project specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable taking and organizing jobsite photos and maintaining punch-list records.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and move between multiple active jobsites.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to safely navigate active construction sites and work in indoor and outdoor jobsite conditions.
