Job Overview
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our perioperative team. This position will support providers and clinical staff with patient preparation, room and procedure preparation, clinical documentation, and other patient-care activities.
Essential Job Functions
- Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for evaluation by the provider.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and the reason for the patient's visit.
- Prepare and organize procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies for in-office procedures in accordance with established infection-control protocols.
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor office procedures, and other clinical duties within the scope of the role and applicable requirements.
- Maintain patient privacy and comply with HIPAA and organizational confidentiality standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and appropriately stocked exam rooms and clinical work areas.
- Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care while supporting a positive patient experience.
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned to support the needs of the practice.
- Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule.

Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- At least one year of medical office experience preferred.
- Urology experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with Allscripts or another electronic health record (EHR) system preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Experience with KUB imaging is a plus, where applicable requirements are met.
