Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join Wesley Apartment Homes! This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs on community access gates, entry systems, lighting, and related electrical components to ensure safe and reliable operation. This position also maintains, troubleshoots, repairs electrical systems and equipment throughout apartment communities and common areas.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience in residential or commercial environments is required. 
• Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage systems, wiring, circuits, breakers, outlets, switches, and lighting.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and access control systems.
• Experience with apartment community gates, gate operators, keypads, access points, vehicle      access systems, and related equipment preferred.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with 3rd party inspection and fire compliance vendors.
• Ability to procure materials needed for the job.

Job Duties

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, outlets, switches, breakers, wiring, and lighting.
• Inspect and repair electrical components associated with apartment community gates and access systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install gate operators, motors, sensors, loops, keypads, card readers, remotes, and related access equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service requests.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable electrical codes.
• Travel to different apartment communities throughout the metro Atlanta area.

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting or carrying materials and equipment. The employee must be able to safely perform electrical and maintenance work in occupied apartment homes, common areas, exterior areas, and parking facilities.
