Description
What You'll Do
- Lead, manage, and develop the dealership’s BDM/BDC Department
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate BDM/BDC representatives
- Establish clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics
- Improve lead response times, appointment-setting, show rates, and conversion
- Develop effective processes for inbound internet, phone, and third-party leads
- Monitor CRM activity to ensure leads are being properly contacted and followed up with
- Ensure proper documentation and follow-up of all customer interactions
- Work closely with Sales Managers and Sales Associates to ensure a smooth handoff of appointments
- Create and implement strategies to increase showroom traffic and vehicle sales
- Monitor individual and department KPIs and provide regular performance feedback
- Conduct team meetings, one-on-one coaching, and ongoing training
- Identify areas of opportunity and develop action plans to improve results
- Work closely with the Marketing and Sales Departments on lead generation and campaigns
- Ensure customers receive a professional and consistent experience from their first contact with the dealership
- Maintain strong communication between the BDM Department and Sales Management
- Stay current on automotive BDC best practices, technology, CRM tools, and industry trends
Requirements
- Previous automotive BDC/BDM leadership experience preferred
- Proven experience managing and developing a high-performing BDC team
- Strong understanding of automotive internet leads and phone sales
- Experience with CRM systems and dealership lead management
- Strong understanding of BDC KPIs, including:
- Lead response time
- Contact rate
- Appointment rate
- Show rate
- Sold rate
- Follow-up activity
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to coach employees while maintaining accountability
- Positive, energetic, and team-oriented leadership style
- Strong customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
- Authorized to work in the United States

Salary Description
$125,000-$175,000 per year (commission based pay)
