Accounting FP&A Manager

The Accounting FP&A Manager leads financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and

performance analysis for Tattoo Manufacturing International. This role partners closely with Accounting, Operations,

Supply Chain, Sales, and executive leadership to translate financial and operational data into actionable insight, improve

profitability, and support strategic decision-making.

The Accounting FP&A Manager combines strong technical accounting knowledge with forward-looking analysis in a

manufacturing environment, including product costing, inventory, margin performance, capital investments, and

operational key performance indicators.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the annual operating budget, periodic forecasting, and long-range planning processes in partnership with executive

leadership and functional leaders.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, scenario analyses, and decision-support tools used for strategic

planning and business decisions.

• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages, including income statement, balance

sheet, cash-flow, KPI, and operational performance analysis.

• Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, prior-year performance, and key operational metrics; clearly identify

material variances, root causes, risks, and opportunities.

• Partner with the Accounting team during month-end close to validate financial results, review accruals and key account

activity, and ensure reporting data is complete, accurate, and decision-ready.

• Support the integrity of financial information by reconciling planning and reporting outputs to the general ledger and

collaborating with Accounting on reporting, data-quality, and control matters.

• Analyze manufacturing and product-cost performance, including material, labor, overhead, purchase-price, scrap, yield,

absorption, and other cost or margin variances, as applicable.

• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sales, and other business partners to evaluate cost drivers,

productivity initiatives, pricing decisions, capacity utilization, inventory trends, and profitability improvement

opportunities.

• Support standard-cost development and updates, cost roll-ups, cost-of-goods-sold analysis, and inventory-related

financial planning in coordination with Accounting and Operations.

• Prepare capital expenditure analyses, return-on-investment models, business cases, and post-investment performance

reviews for equipment, automation, facility, and other strategic investments.

• Provide financial support for pricing, customer or supplier contract negotiations, make-versus-buy analyses, new-product

initiatives, and other commercial decisions.

• Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools that improve visibility into plant performance, cost

trends, working capital, and key business drivers.

• Monitor working-capital trends and support cash-flow forecasting through analysis of inventory, purchasing, production,

and other operational inputs.

• Present concise, actionable financial findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional

stakeholders.

• Identify and implement improvements to FP&A processes, reporting tools, systems, automation, and data governance to

improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Support external audit, internal-control, and financial reporting activities as needed by preparing analyses, schedules,

and documentation.

• Maintain compliance with Company policies, internal financial controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

(GAAP), and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and

management reporting.

• Working knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial statements, internal controls, and month-end close

processes.

• Demonstrated experience analyzing manufacturing operations, product costs, inventory, cost of goods sold, margins, and

operational performance metrics.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial-modeling

capabilities.

• Proficiency with ERP systems, financial planning and reporting tools, business-intelligence platforms, and Microsoft

Office Suite or similar software.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear, practical recommendations for non-financial

stakeholders.

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a

fast-paced environment.

• Proven ability to build productive relationships with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and executive

leadership.

• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-development skills.



Requirements

 Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field required.

• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, or a related

financial-analysis role required.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing, packaging, distribution, or inventory-based environment strongly preferred.

• Experience with standard costing, manufacturing variance analysis, inventory accounting, and capital investment

analysis strongly preferred.

• Prior supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.

• CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional designation preferred.


Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
