Job Description: The Service Engineer - Europe provides technical service and support for the systems and products sold by PVA, helping customers maximize value from pre-shipment through end-of-life. This role is customer-facing, requires frequent travel, and includes a structured training period depending on prior experience.
Job Details:
- 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
- Starting pay € 72,000 - € 78,000 annually depending on experience
- Onsite in Helmond, Netherlands
- Frequent travel required within Europe and occasional global travel
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain expert-level technical knowledge of the PVA product line.
- Answer direct customer questions and resolve technical issues directly or through remote support to on-site personnel. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, controls, software, and process-related problems.
- Manage and update individual service tickets to identify urgent customer needs.
- Provide on-site service support, acceptance runs, new project installations, rework installations, and service at customer locations.
- Assist customers with application development, process improvement and optimization both at PVA lab in Helmond as well at customer’s locations.
- Utilize structured problem-solving methods to identify root causes and solutions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information, always.
- Foster strong customer relationships through proactive solution-oriented approach.
- Share customer learnings and field feedback within the department.
- Assist and support team members during acceptance runs, installations, rework installations, onsite service, and demonstrations & tests in the test center (Helmond).
- Provide training to customers or end users about the function, programming, and maintenance of PVA products.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Engineering Team, locally and globally, on priorities, scheduling, and workload.
- Provide feedback regarding manuals and documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Provide feedback regarding product quality, lessons learned, and potential improvements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of service execution and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of technical service or process engineering experience. Commercial experience is a plus.
- Engineering education or equivalent technical background.
- Technically inclined in mechanics, controls, electronics, and software.
- Proficiency in English. Any additional European languages (e.g., German) is a strong advantage.
