What You'll Do
As an Electrical Engineer I, you'll support the design, development, and testing of electronics systems used in AI-powered platforms and environmental instrumentation, for both military and commercial applications, while building your skills under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support the design, prototyping, and testing of circuit boards, sensor interfaces, and embedded system electronics on assigned tasks, under guidance from senior engineers
- Assist with integrating embedded processors, FPGAs, and AI modules into low-power, compact form factors
- Work closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to help ensure hardware designs meet system requirements
- Support supplier and manufacturer coordination on component selection and prototyping
- Run test procedures for functional validation, EMI compliance, thermal performance, and reliability under senior engineer direction; use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and similar tools to troubleshoot
- Help create and maintain schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and design documentation in line with industry standards (IPC, MIL-STD, ISO)
- Support hardware integration, testing, and debugging during lab evaluations
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, plus 0-2 years of experience in board design, testing, and troubleshooting (internships and academic project work count!)
- Exposure to schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCAD)
- Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers, sensors, power systems, and interface protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN)
- Foundational understanding of lab test methods and tools (oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers)
- Effective communicator who works well in a team and is eager to learn from senior engineers
Nice to Have
- Background in automotive, EV, AV, aerospace, or space industries
- Familiarity with guidance and navigation technologies, or inertial/magnetic sensors
- Exposure to optics and multispectral digital imaging systems
- Coursework or project experience with MIL-STD or DO-160 EMC design and test
- Knowledge of programmable logic design, or signal/power integrity design
- Exposure to low-level firmware, particularly for bring-up and testing
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations, thermal constraints, and rugged hardware design
Compensation and Benefits
- $73,565 - $99,529 annually. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications and the budget allocated for this role.
