A day in the life
As a Bartender, you’ll bring flair, professionalism, and excellence to all of our Wine Train experiences, with a primary focus during our festive Santa Train season.
You’ll be part of our premium guest service team, creating exceptional beverage experiences aboard our historic train. From classic cocktails and wine service to festive seasonal offerings, you’ll help set the tone for an unforgettable journey through Napa Valley.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring pride, professionalism, and positive energy to every shift. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure, accuracy, and genuine hospitality. You’ll build rapport with guests, anticipate their needs, maintain a clean and organized bar, and work closely with servers and fellow team members to ensure seamless service. We’re looking for someone who is personable, observant, dependable, and passionate about hospitality. Previous bartending experience is preferred, but we’re happy to consider individuals with strong restaurant or beverage-service experience who are eager to learn and grow.
Requirements
- Evening and weekend availability (no exceptions)
- 1 year of bartending or restaurant/beverage-service experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine preferred
- Wine knowledge and familiarity with Napa Valley history strongly preferred
- Ability to provide polished, engaging, and attentive guest service
- Ability to multitask, think critically, and actively listen
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain accuracy and composure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and safely work in a moving train environment
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and willingness to follow all applicable laws and company policies
- Positive, adaptable, and hardworking attitude
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Seasonal availability: November 24 – December 23, 2026 (no exceptions)
- Mandatory schedule during Santa Train season
- Must be available for all shifts — no exceptions

Salary: $16.90 – $28.00 (including gratuity)
