Location: Bend
Compensation: $25.86/hour (Plus $0.50/hour for Spanish Bilingual ability)
Hours: 40 hours/week,

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Volunteer & Events Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for volunteers agency-wide and supports NeighborImpact's volunteer program across Head Start, food programs, housing stabilization, supportive services, and Development-led fundraising events. Volunteer activity ranges from ongoing weekly commitments to seasonal events involving 1,500+ volunteers, and responsibilities include recruitment, orientation, supervision, recognition, database administration, and reporting.
Required:
- High School diploma/GED required
- One year of experience with volunteer recruitment and coordination, nonprofit program work, or event planning including event logistics, vendor coordination, and sponsor support
- On year of experience with public speaking, community outreach, and representing an organization at external events
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 required
- Ability to travel throughout Central Oregon using personal vehicle for NeighborImpact business (mileage reimbursement for work travel available)
- Ability to work varied hours, including some evenings and weekends required
- Required prior to date of hire and throughout employment:
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of current auto insurance
- Access to reliable transportation
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle record check
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Enrollment in the CBR (Central Background Registry)
Preferred:
- Associate's degree preferred
- Prior volunteer management experience preferred
- Experience with VolunteerHub or comparable volunteer management platform preferred
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices preferred
- Experience in volunteer recruitment, screening, orientation, and supervision
- Experience with volunteer program metrics, engagement analytics, or impact reporting preferred
