San Francisco University High School (UHS) is a coeducational independent day school located
in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. The school serves approximately 500
students in grades 9-12 with a mission to challenge each individual to live a life of integrity,

ABOUT THE POSITION
The College Counseling Intern supports the day-to-day operations of the UHS College Counseling Department. This is a part-time, temporary role that involves in-person work on campus one day a week when school is in session, beginning immediately and lasting until the week of December 14, 2026.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree
- Commitment to working with youth and a passion for education
- A growth mindset and a commitment to learn
DUTIES AND COMMITMENT
- One day of in-person work each week through the end of the fall semester
- Proofread teacher and counselor letters of recommendation
- Greet and support admissions representatives when they visit campus
- Read and give feedback on student writing
- Attend afternoon study hall to support students
- Provide extra support and structure to specific students, as directed
- Participate in the administration of the PSAT on Wednesday, October 14
- Support other tasks as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to deliver positive, constructive, and honest feedback, both written and verbal
- Superior writing and organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to hold others to high standards while also offering support and maintaining positive relationship
- Familiarity with the following platforms: Google Suite, Zoom (familiarity with Canvas and/or MaiaLearning a plus
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow through with assigned tasks and responsibilities
COMPENSATION
$20/hr [8 hours per week, through December 18, 2026]
