Description

Summary: Coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage, and shipment of materials and products while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting operational efficiency.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you'll help ensure materials, components, and finished products move efficiently through our manufacturing facility and arrive at customers accurately and on time.


The ideal candidate enjoys organization, problem solving, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly alike. You'll work closely with production, purchasing, quality, and scheduling teams to keep inventory accurate and shipments on track.

Requirements

  

What You'll Do

  • Receive, verify, and process incoming materials, products, and customer-supplied items.
  • Organize and route incoming materials to the appropriate production or inventory locations.
  • Prepare, package, and ship finished products and customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Track and communicate the status of incoming and outgoing materials and shipments.
  • Ensure materials are properly issued and work orders are completed prior to shipment.
  • Coordinate inspection documentation and communicate with the Quality team as required.
  • Monitor shipping schedules and dispatch reports to support on-time delivery performance.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping and receiving area.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory control, shipping accuracy, and warehouse organization.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability to read and understand work orders, shipping documents, receiving records, and instructions.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills and data entry experience.
  • Strong math and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify products, part numbers, and inventory items accurately.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance on forklifts.

Preferred

  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management software.
  • Forklift certification and material handling experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory accuracy practices.
