CVOEO is seeking a Housing Advocate at our Voices Against Violence Shelter who is responsible responsible for providing comprehensive services to participants in need of emergency and permanent housing through shelter and hotels. Maintain confidentiality in all survivor matters, direct interaction, written information, discussion, etc. Develop/maintain/enhance relationships with community resources that can assist victim/survivors of domestic and sexual violence in their quest for self-sufficiency and permanent housing.

For more than 40 years, we have worked to empower survivors, educate communities, and prevent sexual violence, domestic violence, and stalking through direct services, community education, advocacy, and systems change.

Starting pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

• Bachelor’s degree in human service field or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.
• Knowledge of domestic and sexual violence issues preferred.
• A commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
• A highly motivated and responsible with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a non-judgmental, positive and competent manner.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and access to reliable transportation and willingness and ability to travel within the CVOEO service area.
• Ability to uphold safety standards.
