The Junior DevOps Engineer handles designing, creating, and supporting automation to help support the Software Development Life Cycle. They support the implementation of the Infrastructure as Code configuration and artifacts. They help set up and respond to alerts around critical systems. They collaborate closely with their cross functional teams to help identify and implement areas of improvement as well as support the release process. Finally, they work with Senior DevOps Engineers to find areas of improvement and growth.
Additionally, due to the sensitive nature of the data, the Junior DevOps Engineer will have the opportunity to work with the rest of the business to create, support, and ensure compliance with the auditable controls necessary to properly secure our customers’ data.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Automation of company processes, such as daily ETL, software deployments, infrastructure monitoring and alerting, as examples
- Automation of customer processes, such as packaging and transmission of report files
- Designing and maintenance of operational infrastructure
- Helping with adherence and auditing of security controls to support SOC 2 certification
- Protecting customers data with continuous security practices and monitoring
- Assisting internal teams with the research and resolution of customer support issues
- Provisioning and onboarding of new customer tenants
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to help deliver end-to-end

Required
- 0-2 years of experience in an operational, IT, or software engineering role. Internships, apprenticeships, or equivalent hands-on project work will be considered
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with source control (Git) and the basic concepts of a CI/CD pipeline.
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and clear written communication.
- Demonstrated care and discretion when handling sensitive data.
Preferred
- Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Exposure to relational databases and SQL, and interest in data ingestion and ETL processes.
- Experience working on an Agile team.
- Experience supporting internal or external customers in a ticket-driven environment.
- Relevant certification (AZ-900 or AZ-104) or a degree in a computing field.
