Schedule: Evening availability is required. 


Key Responsibilities:

 

• Supervise and provide day-to-day direction to Security Officers, including patrol assignments, post coverage, and shift responsibilities.

• Patrol guest areas, back-of-house areas, parking areas, and common spaces to identify and address safety or security concerns.

• Respond to guest and associate incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, theft, property damage, and other security-related situations.

• Assist with investigations by gathering information, interviewing appropriate individuals, and ensuring incidents are properly documented and escalated.

• Review incident and accident reports for accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.

• Support emergency response procedures, including fire prevention, evacuations, medical emergencies, severe weather, and other emergency situations.

• Coordinate with hotel leadership, emergency responders, and law enforcement when appropriate.

• Maintain required security documentation, including security logs, key-control records, incident reports, and lost-and-found documentation.

• Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding Security Officers on department procedures, emergency protocols, reporting expectations, and guest service standards.

• Monitor Security Officers’ performance and communicate attendance, conduct, performance, or procedural concerns to the Director of Security and/or Human Resources as appropriate.

• Serve as the primary security contact during assigned shifts when senior Security leadership is not present, escalating significant incidents or concerns as appropriate.

• Respond to guest requests and concerns in a courteous, professional, and timely manner while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Requirements
  • Minimum lifting of 20 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.
  • Must have a working knowledge of hotel departments, operations, and functions as they relate to safety, security, emergency response, and guest service.
  • Must maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety and security requirements, hotel emergency procedures, and company policies relevant to the position.
  • Must have a knowledge of mathematical and computer skills.
  • Previous security, loss prevention, law enforcement, military, or related hotel experience preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
  • CPR training required and first aid training required.
  • Additional language ability preferred.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
