Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for an onsite opportunity in Bloomington, Minnesota. This senior engineering position leads the planning, design and development of tools, machines and accessory products for the HVAC/R market, supporting both new product introduction and improvements to existing designs.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Electrical Engineer provides technical leadership across complex product-development projects, bringing design concepts through production while supporting testing, manufacturing, vendors, engineering documentation and ongoing product improvement.
This position leads projects involving multiple engineers, establishes project goals and milestones, mentors other engineers and serves as a subject-matter expert within their area. The role also includes supervisory responsibility for up to two direct reports.
COMPENSATION
• Salary Range: $90,000-$140,000 Per Year
• Individual Compensation Is Determined By Skills, Experience Level And Other Relevant Factors

SCHEDULE
• 4-Day Work Week
• Monday-Thursday
• 10-Hour Days
• Work Hours Fall Between 6:00 AM And 6:00 PM
• Additional Hours May Be Required During Busier Times
ENGINEERING & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
• Lead The Design Of Individual Tools And Machines And Serve As Lead On Selected Projects
• Lead Projects From Planning And Design Through Production Solutions
• Evaluate Project Progress And Results
• Own Project-Level Goals Involving Multiple Engineers
• Break Ambiguous Tasks Into Smaller Units And Establish Clear Milestones
• Provide Technical Leadership From Design Concept Through Production
• Develop Product Specifications For New Product Ideas
• Transform Initial Rough Product Designs Into Production-Ready Documents
• Support New Product Development And Stage-Gate Activities
ELECTRICAL DESIGN
• Design And Develop Low-Voltage Electronic Products
• Work With Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
• Perform Circuit Design
• Use Electronic Design Automation Software
• Support Product Testing, Validation And Design Troubleshooting
• Apply 3D CAD Knowledge In Product Development
TESTING & PRODUCTION SUPPORT
• Design Test Plans And Perform Testing
• Provide Advanced Production-Line Support
• Support Product Validation And Production Readiness
• Work With Vendors To Ensure Component Specifications And Dimensional Requirements Are Met
• Support Production Documentation And Ongoing Product Improvements
ENGINEERING DOCUMENTATION
• Update Released Production Documentation Using Documented Change Processes
• Develop Bills Of Materials For Entry Into The Business System Using The ECM Process
• Maintain Production-Ready Engineering Documentation
• Support Formal Product-Development And Change-Control Processes
LEADERSHIP & SUPERVISION
• Mentor Engineer I, II And III Team Members Through Projects And Complex Technical Issues
• Provide Technical Leadership Across Engineering Projects
• Participate In Interviews And Selection
• Support Onboarding
• Manage Time Approval And Time-Off Calendar Responsibilities
• Conduct Performance Reviews
• Address Performance Concerns
• Supervisory Responsibility For Up To Two Direct Reports
• Train Others On Established Processes As Needed
