Heartline Staffing is recruiting an Operations Manager – Food & Beverage Manufacturing for a full-time, onsite opportunity in Leominster, Massachusetts. This role oversees day-to-day production, quality, warehouse and logistics functions within a food and beverage manufacturing operation.
The Operations Manager will lead manufacturing, quality and logistics employees, including temporary workers, while coordinating schedules, assignments, workflows and operational priorities. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on production performance, food safety, quality, employee development and continuous operational improvement.
COMPENSATION
• $85,000-$105,000
• Annual bonus

SCHEDULE
• Full-time day shift
• During peak production periods, employees may work 10-12 hour shifts
• Peak-period shifts are typically between 5:00 AM-5:00 PM or 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
• During the remainder of the year, shifts are generally 9 hours
• Schedule flexibility is required based on production needs
OPERATIONS LEADERSHIP
• Manage production, quality, warehouse and logistics operations to meet daily and weekly fulfillment targets
• Lead manufacturing, quality and logistics employees, including temporary workers
• Coordinate employee schedules, daily assignments, workflows and operational priorities
• Coach and develop potential team leads to strengthen leadership capabilities
• Provide hands-on operational support, particularly during busy production periods
PRODUCTION & FULFILLMENT
• Coordinate raw materials and production priorities
• Ensure customer orders are completed on schedule
• Track operational performance and maintain reports
• Document operational processes and maintain standard operating procedures
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
• Identify and implement productivity improvements
• Reduce waste and improve labor utilization
• Monitor and improve operating costs
• Improve workflow and overall operational performance
FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY
• Ensure compliance with food-safety requirements
• Maintain quality and sanitation standards
• Support GMP compliance
• Support HACCP compliance
• Maintain workplace-safety requirements
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COMMUNICATION
• Communicate effectively with employees and management
• Coordinate with Human Resources
• Work collaboratively with other departments to support manufacturing operations

• 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in food or beverage manufacturing REQUIRED
• 2-3 years of direct supervisory or management experience REQUIRED
• Working knowledge of food safety requirements REQUIRED
• Working knowledge of GMP REQUIRED
• Working knowledge of HACCP REQUIRED
• Working knowledge of sanitation requirements REQUIRED
• Working knowledge of quality requirements REQUIRED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel REQUIRED
• Proficiency in operational tracking and reporting REQUIRED
• Ability to work onsite in Leominster, MA REQUIRED
• Schedule flexibility based on production needs, including extended peak-production shifts REQUIRED
