Description

MetalTek International is seeking an experienced Foundry Supervisor to lead our No-Bake Molding and Core Operations team at our Carondelet Foundry in Pevely, Missouri. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about safety, quality, and continuous improvement.


The Foundry Supervisor is responsible for leading molding, core-making, and production activities while ensuring a safe, productive, and quality-focused operation. You will be responsible for guiding employees, supporting daily production goals, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.


Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills along with demonstrated problem solving and leadership abilities. Knowledge of foundry molding operations/equipment (specifically a background in No-Bake Molding) and a technical education in a related field would be helpful. Experience with melt and pour operations in the foundry is a plus. Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience is required. The candidate should be experienced in working independently and as a member of a team to meet deadlines and improve their department with solid leadership and communication skills.  

Requirements

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and support No-Bake Molding and Core Operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives are achieved.

• Supervise, coach, train, and develop production employees while fostering a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.

• Ensure all molding, core-making, melt, and pour procedures are followed consistently and safely.

• Drive operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase process efficiency.

• Monitor inventory, process control, and product quality while maintaining compliance with established standards.

• Support production scheduling and collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful execution.

• Lead safety initiatives, conduct investigations when necessary, and reinforce MetalTek's commitment to a world-class safety culture.

• Participate in hiring, onboarding, employee development, and performance management activities.

• Maintain clear communication across departments and between shifts to ensure seamless operations.


 What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, foundry, metal casting, or heavy industrial operations.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to motivate teams, drive accountability, and create a culture focused on safety, quality, and results.

• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment with responsibility for people, processes, and performance.

• Hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside employees when needed to support operational success.

• Ability to make decisions independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with inventory control, quality systems, production scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in No-Bake Molding operations.

• Sand casting or foundry manufacturing experience.

• Knowledge of melt and pour operations.

• Technical education in manufacturing, engineering, metallurgy, or a related field.

• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
