About the Role
The Senior HR Generalist is a seasoned HR practitioner who owns the day-to-day design, administration, and execution of Navia's employee benefits programs while serving as a trusted advisor to employees and managers across the full employee lifecycle. This role brings deep benefits and plan design expertise together with working knowledge of multi-state payroll, ensuring accurate, compliant, and well-communicated programs as Navia continues to grow across a multi-state footprint. The Senior HR Generalist partners closely with HR leadership to strengthen processes, resolve complex employee issues, and keep the broader HR function running smoothly.
What You'll Do
Benefits Administration & Plan Design
? Own full-cycle administration of Navia's health, welfare, and voluntary benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA/HRA, and ancillary offerings.
? Partner with HR leadership and outside brokers/carriers on annual plan design, renewals, and benchmarking to keep Navia's offerings competitive and cost-effective.
? Lead open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communications, system configuration, and post-enrollment audits.
? Reconcile monthly and quarterly carrier invoices and enrollment data (medical, voluntary, HRA/FSA claims), resolving discrepancies to protect benefit accuracy and cost control.
? Serve as the escalation point for complex employee benefits questions, eligibility issues, and life-event changes.
Multi-State Payroll & Compliance Support
? Partner with Payroll to support accurate multi-state payroll processing, including timecard review, tax and wage compliance, and resolution of discrepancies before processing deadlines.
? Maintain working knowledge of multi-state employment law, wage and hour requirements, and leave mandates, flagging compliance risk as Navia's footprint expands.
? Support state-mandated training deployment and tracking across all applicable jurisdictions.
? Administer FMLA and leave of absence programs end-to-end, coordinating eligibility, documentation, and return-to-work transitions with managers and IT.
Employee Relations & HR Operations
? Act as a trusted, day-to-day resource for employees and managers on HR policy, benefits, and workplace concerns, escalating and documenting employee relations matters as needed.
? Support the annual performance management cycle, including system setup, communications, and completion tracking across the organization.
? Conduct HRIS audits of employee data, promotions, and compensation changes to safeguard payroll accuracy and data integrity.
