The Margaret E. Moul Home is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor/Floor Nurse to join our team on 1st Shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM). This position includes rotating weekends and holidays. We specialize in caring for individuals with cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular conditions and are committed to providing personalized, high-quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents while supervising daily nursing operations during the assigned shift.
- Supervise, support, and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Direct Care Staff to ensure quality resident care and compliance with facility policies.
- Assess residents’ health status, monitor for changes in condition, and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other physician-ordered interventions while ensuring accurate documentation.
- Coordinate resident care with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Respond promptly to changes in resident conditions, medical emergencies, and incidents, providing appropriate clinical leadership and intervention.
- Complete nursing assessments, admissions, transfers, discharges, and required documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations, infection prevention protocols, and facility policies and procedures.
- Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the healthcare team regarding resident care and treatment plans.
- Assist with staffing coordination, shift assignments, and problem-solving to promote efficient unit operations.
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model by providing education, guidance, and support to nursing staff.
- Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life at all times.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and ongoing performance improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Perform all nursing duties in accordance with Pennsylvania nursing regulations and facility policies.

Skills & Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
- Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or leadership experience in long-term care, residential care, or skilled nursing is preferred.
- Experience caring for individuals with neuromuscular conditions is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise, coach, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.

Work Environment
This is an in-person position at the Margaret E. Moul Home. The RN Supervisor/Floor Nurse works directly with residents while providing clinical leadership to the nursing team in a residential care setting. This position requires regular on-site attendance, hands-on resident care, supervision of nursing staff, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
