VITAL THERAPY, a growing management company for skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities throughout Texas, is currently recruiting for a full time ,salaried Quality Assurance Specialist to support compliance for our skilled nursing and long term care facilities located throughout Texas.  We seek a seasoned and dynamic therapist who is passionate about delivering the best care possible to our patients and residents and offer opportunities for you to support your DOR's.  We offer a small but amazing leadership team to work with as well as the freedom to expand your therapy career with our growing organization.


  

The Quality Assurance Specialist provides clinical, technical, and administrative support for therapy quality initiatives. Responsibilities include electronic health record support, data management and tracking, record retrieval, audit support, denial and appeal tracking, and review of therapy documentation and operational data as assigned.

This position requires a licensed therapy professional with strong clinical knowledge, technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.


Essential Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy,      occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, or therapy assistant      program.
  • Current professional licensure in good standing.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a licensed      therapist.
  • Experience in adult post-acute, skilled nursing,      and/or long-term care.
  • Strong knowledge of therapy documentation, clinical      practice, and reimbursement requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and      problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple      assignments and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word,      Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to effectively      use electronic health record, reporting, and data systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Net Health Optima.
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare and/or MatrixCare.
  • Experience with therapy documentation review,      auditing, reimbursement, denials, appeals, or medical record requests.
  • Previous rehabilitation leadership or multi-site      experience.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support electronic health record systems, data      management, reporting, record retrieval, and routine quality assurance      activities to promote accurate and complete information.
  • Maintain departmental tracking and documentation,      assist with audits and record requests, and identify items requiring      follow-up, correction, or escalation.
  • Support tracking and coordination of denials,      appeals, medical reviews, and other payer or regulatory activities.
  • Perform assigned reviews of therapy documentation,      clinical data, and operational reports to identify inconsistencies,      trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of department      resources, tools, reports, education materials, and quality improvement      initiatives.
  • Provide technical and administrative support and      assist with special projects and recurring departmental activities.
  • Communicate and collaborate professionally with      therapy teams, facility staff, leadership, and other departments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Must reside in Texas
  • PT, PTA, OT, OTA or SLP license in the state of Texas
