Description

Position Purpose:

The Specialist, Faculty Management, coordinates and manages WorldatWork's faculty and faculty resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs and training initiatives. Serving as the primary liaison between faculty and the organization, this role ensures effective communication, scheduling, and alignment of faculty expertise with program objectives. In collaboration with the Manager of Educational Programs and Faculty Relations, the Specialist recruits, onboards, and evaluates faculty members, directly contributing to the success of WorldatWork's mission-driven learning initiatives.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main contact for faculty, providing support and guidance on program expectations, logistics, and policies.
  • Maintain clear and productive communication channels with faculty and program leaders.
  • Recruit and onboard new faculty, handling the selection process, orientation, and training.
  • Coordinate faculty scheduling, assignments, and ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Manage the distribution of faculty resources, including contracts, handbooks, instructional, and training materials.
  • Manage faculty payments and expense reports, coordination of travel arrangements, and collaborating with Accounts Payable.
  • Maintain an up-to-date faculty roster and database which includes tracking contact information, credentials, expertise, and credentials in Salesforce.
  • Facilitate faculty performance feedback based upon course evaluation results.
  • Track faculty participation, feedback, and performance data.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Educational Programs and Faculty Relations, to identify faculty professional development needs and opportunities. 
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance faculty engagement and performance. 
  • Work with program leaders and managers to match faculty expertise with program needs and support objectives.
  • Support identifying faculty to participate in the planning and execution of educational events, ensuring faculty are prepared.
  • Support and guide faculty as needed regarding updates, events, and organizational news.
  • Provide insights to leadership for improving faculty management and program delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate faculty contributions into broader organizational initiatives including Marketing, Events, Content Strategy and Education Leadership.
  • Produce courses to monitor and assess faculty as required.

*Provide outstanding customer service both internally and externally, while performing other duties as assigned.

*Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods, or otherwise to contribute to the organization when needed.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor of Education and/or Business degree, minimum of three years’ experience in corporate training, or similar background or a combination of experience and education. 
  • Experience with instructor recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of and practice with a variety of instructional approaches (e.g., web-based, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led training). 
  • Ability to prioritize workload, be comfortable writing for and presenting to various audiences, be flexible and detail oriented, understanding of adult learning needs and program development, including a working knowledge of developing online educational programs on Learning Management Systems. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships with faculty and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and the ability to manage challenging situations with diplomacy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management and learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult education principles and best practices in instructional design.
  • Familiarity with non-profit association management, virtual course delivery, and experience in faculty recruitment and development.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to collaborative efforts.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the association, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Some travel may occasionally be necessary.

At WorldatWork, we offer a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package. The hiring range for this position is $57,000 to $67,000 plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus with a target of 5% of base salary. This position may be worked remotely.
