About the Role
Lead Revenue Cycle Management Specialist (RCM)
The Lead RCM Specialist serves as a subject matter expert in insurance accounts receivable while providing leadership and guidance domestically and globally. This role is the best fit for someone who enjoys dissecting trends, problem-solving, mentoring teams and driving operational improvements.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day oversight, coaching, and mentorship to domestic and offshore RCM team members
- Serve as the subject matter expert for payer AR, handling complex escalations and insurance disputes
- Monitor team performance, identify skill gaps, and support training and development initiatives
- Analyze payer trends, denial patterns, and workflow gaps; implement process improvements to optimize outcomes
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve billing accuracy and reduce rework
- Develop and maintain SOPs, job aids, and training materials to standardize processes
- Conduct deep-dive analyses and provide reporting insights to support business decisions
- Support onboarding and ongoing education of team members on systems, workflows, and payer guidelines
- Resolve escalated billing inquiries from patients and insurance providers with a focus on accuracy and service excellence
- Partner cross-functionally to address account issues, reduce denials, and improve the overall patient financial experience
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory standards in handling patient information
- Performs other duties as assigned
Why You’re the Best Fit
- Associate’s degree preferred, High School Diploma required
- Three (3) years of related work experience in administration, financial, insurance, customer services, claims, billing, call-center, or management required
- Two (2) years of work experience in HME, diabetic, home medical supplies, pharmacy or an HH environment is preferred but not required
- Experience leading or mentoring teams
- Experience working with payer policies, AR processes, insurance billing is preferred but not required
- Ability to lead and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to navigate multiple systems and understand data flow across platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Compensation
- Compensation is based on experience, location and role level: $50,000-52,000
