Board Administrative Assistant – Part Time


Good Foods Co-op is a community-owned natural foods grocery dedicated to building a more equitable and sustainable food system. We support local farmers and producers while creating a welcoming, inclusive shopping experience for everyone in our community.

We’re looking for a Board Administrative Assistant who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at communication and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, managing multiple priorities, and supporting collaborative leadership within a mission-driven organization.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll support the Board of Directors and General Manager by:

  •  Preparing and distributing board meeting packets and materials
  •  Attending board meetings and accurately recording meeting minutes
  •  Maintaining organized paper and electronic board records and Governance Policies
  •  Managing board calendars, contact lists, and meeting schedules
  •  Supporting board trainings, retreats, Annual Owners Meetings, and special events
  •  Coordinating meeting logistics including room reservations and catering arrangements
  •  Monitoring and responding to board administrative emails
  •  Posting board meeting summaries on the website and in-store communication areas
  •  Maintaining organized digital files within Google Drive systems
  •  Supporting communication between board members and the General Manager
  •  Completing follow-up tasks and administrative projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  •  Has strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills
  •  Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  •  Works independently and manages time effectively
  •  Has experience with Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and cloud-based file systems
  •  Communicates clearly and professionally in writing and verbally
  •  Exercises good judgment and discretion with confidential information
  •  Is comfortable using personal computer equipment for remote and administrative work
  •  Has a flexible schedule, including availability for evening board meetings
  •  Has previous administrative support experience (preferred)

Physical & Work Environment

  •  Combination of remote administrative work and in-person meetings
  •  Moderate office and meeting environment with regular computer use
  •  Frequent sitting, typing, and document preparation
  •  Evening meeting attendance required, typically once per month
  •  Shared workspaces and collaborative communication environments

Compensation & Benefits


  • Starting wage $15.86 
  • Contract employment
  • Flexible part-time schedule (approximately 5–20 hours per month)
