Part Time Billing Entry Clerk
Description

Submits claims and billings electronically using a variety of electronic portals. Maintains constant communications with MCOs to ensure timely filing. Advocates with MCOs for insurance rate reimbursement. Tracks client payments and insurance claim forms.   

Requirements

Part-time, up to 30 hours, non-exempt position

Hourly Rate: $17.81 per hour

Minimum of a high school diploma and six months of office setting experience

Bilingual-Spanish speaking strongly encouraged to apply

  • Applies all payments to clients’ accounts. 
  • Bills all invoices to contracted agencies
  • Verifies insurance eligibility of clients as needed
  • Maintains spreadsheet of unpaid claims.
  • Communicates changes of billing codes to staff
  • Notifies support staff and direct service providers of notes when corrections need to be done.
  • Constant communication with Billing Director and other C suite staff.
  • Utilizes knowledge of contract rates and service codes.
  • Use of spreadsheets as needed for follow up to variety of billing issues
  • Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential.
  • Maintain HIPAA and client confidentiality at all times
