Overview:
The Manager, Growth Marketing, is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive member acquisition, market growth, local market presence, brand awareness, and business development objectives.
This role leads acquisition marketing, paid media, SEO/SEM, branch marketing, retail merchandising, strategic brand partnerships and sponsorships, local market initiatives, branch events, marketing technology, performance analytics, budget management, and agency partnerships. Working closely with the Manager, Marketing Operations, this position ensures prospective members are effectively reached through coordinated marketing programs that generate awareness, engagement, consideration, and account acquisition.
Serving as the organization's primary leader for external growth initiatives, the Manager translates strategic business priorities into measurable marketing programs that strengthen market presence, expand strategic brand relationships, support branch growth, and drive sustainable membership and revenue growth.
What You Will Do:
Growth Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Partner with the VP of Marketing to develop annual member acquisition, market growth, local market development, and brand visibility strategies.
- Lead development of acquisition marketing plans, campaign roadmaps, media strategies, and market activation initiatives aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Develop and manage annual acquisition marketing calendars, branch marketing calendars, brand sponsorship and partnership calendars and local marketing development plans.
- Collaborate with Retail, Lending, Business Development, Digital, and other business units to identify growth opportunities and prioritize marketing investments.
- Develop audience targeting strategies, market segmentation approaches, and growth plans designed to increase membership, product adoption, and market penetration.
- Provide strategic recommendations regarding channel mix, media investments, strategic partnerships and local branch marketing initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, consumer behavior, and industry best practices to inform marketing strategy and decision-making.
- Support annual marketing planning, budget development, quarterly business reviews, and executive reporting.
Demand Generation & Acquisition Marketing
- Lead development, execution, and optimization of acquisition marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, retail, partnership, and market-based channels.
- Drive lead generation and new member acquisition efforts for consumer and business products and services.
- Develop strategies to increase qualified traffic, applications, appointments, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with Retail, Lending, Business Development, and Digital teams to support organizational growth initiatives.
- Manage prospect marketing programs through the full marketing funnel, from awareness and consideration through acquisition.
- Optimize marketing investments to maximize acquisition efficiency, conversion performance, and return on investment.
Digital Marketing, Paid Media & SEO
- Oversee paid media strategy and execution across search, display, social, video, streaming audio, out-of-home, and emerging channels.
- Manage SEO and SEM strategies to improve visibility, engagement, website performance, and conversion outcomes.
- Monitor digital marketing performance and continuously optimize campaigns based on data and analytics.
- Partner with agencies and vendors to execute and optimize advertising programs.
- Manage acquisition-focused website content strategies, landing page optimization, and conversion paths.
- Evaluate emerging digital platforms, advertising opportunities, and acquisition channels.
Branch Marketing & Retail Merchandising
- Own branch marketing strategy and execution across the retail network.
- Oversee branch merchandising, promotional campaigns, signage, digital displays, point-of-sale materials, and in-branch marketing experiences.
- Ensure consistency and effectiveness of branch marketing programs across all locations.
- Partner with Retail leadership to identify opportunities that drive branch traffic, appointments, product awareness, and account acquisition.
- Manage branch marketing calendars and seasonal promotional campaigns.
- Develop localized marketing strategies that align enterprise campaigns with market-specific opportunities and branch growth objectives.
Strategic Brand Partnerships & Local Market Development
- Develop and manage strategic brand partnerships and sponsorships, affinity relationships, and co-marketing initiatives that increase brand visibility, generate referrals, and support membership growth.
- Establish and maintain relationships with strategic brand partners including, universities, hospitals, employers, and industry groups that support business development, member acquisition, and market expansion efforts.
- Collaborate with Retail, Business Development, and Lending leaders to identify partnership opportunities that drive awareness, referrals, branch traffic, and membership growth.
- Measure brand partnership and sponsorship effectiveness through defined performance metrics, business outcomes, lead generation, and return on investment.
- Serve as the primary marketing liaison for external brand partnerships and sponsorship relationships.
Branch Events & Local Market Presence
- Lead planning and execution of branch grand openings, branch anniversaries, marketing and planning for branded workshops, local business events, brand sponsorship activations, member appreciation events, and other market-facing activities designed to increase local visibility and engagement.
- Develop event marketing strategies that drive branch traffic, appointments, lead generation, business development opportunities, and membership growth.
- Coordinate branch participation in local business, civic, and networking events that enhance organizational visibility and reinforce a strong local market presence.
- Manage event budgets, logistics, vendors, promotional materials, and communication plans to ensure successful execution and positive participant experiences.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and external partners to maximize event effectiveness and business impact.
- Measure event performance against established goals, including attendance, lead generation, branch traffic, market awareness, and account acquisition outcomes.
- Develop annual branch event strategies designed to support local market growth, business development objectives, and member engagement.
- Ensure branch events, sponsorship activations, and market-facing activities reinforce a consistent brand experience across all markets.
Analytics, Marketing Technology & Performance Management
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for member acquisition, market growth, local market presence, strategic partnerships, sponsorships, branch marketing, and event initiatives.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Measure member acquisition, lead generation, website traffic, conversions, return on advertising spend (ROAS), and return on marketing investment.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and executive summaries to communicate performance and business impact.
- Leverage market research, competitive intelligence, first-party data, and campaign analytics to optimize marketing investments.
- Manage acquisition-focused marketing technology platforms, including digital advertising, analytics, SEO/SEM, lead tracking, and attribution tools.
- Partner with Digital, Data, and IT teams to optimize technology integrations, audience targeting, campaign measurement, and reporting capabilities.
- Evaluate emerging marketing technologies, AI-enabled solutions, and digital platforms that improve acquisition performance, efficiency, and measurement capabilities.
- Ensure effective utilization and governance of marketing technology platforms supporting external marketing initiatives.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage acquisition marketing, advertising, brand sponsorships, branch marketing, and event budgets.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure marketing investments align with established performance objectives.
- Allocate resources across channels and initiatives to maximize marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
- Develop budget forecasts and support annual marketing planning processes.
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies while maintaining program effectiveness and service quality.
Vendor & Agency Management
- Manage relationships with media agencies, advertising partners, event vendors, sponsorship partners, production vendors, technology providers, and marketing consultants.
- Co-manage external agency relationships in partnership with the Manager, Marketing Operations, ensuring alignment across acquisition, member growth, creative, and marketing initiatives.
- Develop scopes of work, establish performance expectations, and oversee agency deliverables.
- Oversee media planning, media buying, campaign execution, and agency performance.
- Monitor vendor service levels, budgets, timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Support annual contract negotiations, agency evaluations, and strategic planning activities.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Marketing Operations to ensure consistent execution and optimization across all agency-supported programs.

What We Are Looking For:
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in growth marketing, acquisition marketing, digital marketing, market development, branch marketing, partnership marketing, retail marketing, or related disciplines.
- Experience developing and executing integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Experience managing paid media, SEO/SEM, digital advertising, website optimization, and lead generation programs.
- Experience managing branch marketing, strategic partnerships, sponsorships, business development support, and local market initiatives.
- Experience managing agencies, vendors, and external partners.
- Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required.

The base pay range for this position is: $100k-$120k / annually
