The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting marketing, brand, communication, and even initiatives across Tailwind Group in both corporate and property marketing. This individual will focus on content creation, short-form video editing, presentation design, even coordination, performance analysis, and administrative support to help bring marketing priorities and brand experiences to life. A successful Marketing Coordinator will be creative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to turn ideas and direction into polish deliverables while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time position working a standard schedule, Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. Nights or weekends may be required from time to time dependent on business needs.
This position can be performed in office at our Mankato or Excelsior, MN, offices, or in a remote setting. Remote applicants must reside in state where Tailwind Group currently operates. Only candidates who reside in one of the following states will be considered: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, or West Virginia.
The compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $58,500 plus bonus potential. This range is determined by current market data based on the position requirements and complexities. Final offers of employment will be based on multiple factors including candidate education, skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities & Duties
Content & Brand
- Create and coordinate content for Tailwind Group and property social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Produce polished short-form videos using original or provided footage, B-roll, and creative direction.
- Edit property, event, corporate, talking-head, and executive content using strong hooks, pacing, storytelling, captions, graphics, music, and sound effects.
- Create engaging content that feels natural to each property and umbrella corporate brand.
- Manage select content calendars, campaigns, and social media projects from concept through execution.
- Create on-brand templates, graphics, presentations, and marketing materials using Canva, CapCut, PowerPoint, etc.
- Review marketing materials and social content for accuracy, quality, and brand consistency.
- Organize and support maintaining brand templates, photography, video footage, digital assets, and shared marketing resources.
- Support ambassador programs, campus activations, resident engagement, community partnerships, and other brand experience initiatives.
Presentations & Communications
- Create, format, edit, and quality-check PowerPoint and Canva presentations for company leaders and departments.
- Translate content, data, and leadership direction into polished, clear, and visually engaging presentations.
- Proofread presentations, communications, and marketing materials for accuracy, grammar, formatting, and brand consistency.
- Support internal communications, company announcements, awards submissions, and other corporate content as assigned.
Events & Project Coordination
- Support company meetings, conferences, training programs, employee events, resident activations, and property events from planning through post-event follow-up.
- Help develop event objectives, audiences, timelines, marketing plans, budgets, and measures of success.
- Support coordination of registration, attendee communications, vendors, sponsors, signage, supplies, shipping, collateral, setup, and other event logistics.
- Prepare event timelines, run-of-show documents, presentations, checklists, name badges, and supporting materials as applicable.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure events align with business goals and brand standards.
- Provide onsite support, including guest experience, vendor coordination, presentation management, content capture, and real-time problem-solving.
- Research industry events, conferences, partnerships, and activation opportunities relevant to company goals.
- Gather feedback and performance data to evaluate event impact and recommend improvements.
Administrative & Reporting Support
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, notes, project trackers, follow-up items, and department deadlines.
- Support vendor documentation, invoice coordination, budget tracking, ordering, and branded merchandise inventory.
- Track content, campaign, event, and engagement performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Brand Experience Manager and Graphic Design Manager.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, event management, or a related field preferred.
- One to three years of experience in marketing, content creation, video editing, social media, communications, events, and/or project coordination preferred.
- Experience creating content for property, lifestyle, corporate, executive, or personal brands strongly preferred.
- Student housing, multifamily, hospitality, or real estate experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong short-form video editing skills with an understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, audience retention, and platform-specific best practices.
- Proficiency in Canva and CapCut required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging social media platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 applications.
- Strong visual judgment and the ability to maintain consistency across multiple brands and audiences.
- Excellent organization and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Strong written communication, proofreading, and professional correspondence skills.
- Ability to take initiative, incorporate feedback, solve problems, and consistently follow projects through to completion.
- Ability to analyze basic performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
