Bay Cities has an exciting opportunity for an Automation & AI Systems Associate located at our corporate headquarters in Pico Rivera, California.   


The Automation & AI Systems Associate is an entry-level role focused on developing and supporting automation solutions and AI agents that power smarter workflows across Bay Cities. This position is part of a growing initiative to embed Copilot-style AI into every business unit—turning repetitive tasks into intelligent systems that improve speed, visibility, and profitability. The associate will work across IT, Data, and Workflow teams to deliver solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and ERP-integrated APIs (Amtech, Llumin, Helios). This is a career-launching role for someone with strong curiosity, technical aptitude, and a passion for solving problems with modern tools. 


 JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE


AI Agent Development 

  • Build and maintain AI agents in Copilot Studio and comparable agent platforms for HR, AP, Operations, and ERP
  • Train agents on Bay Cities’ business data using prompts, flows, and Fabric-connected knowledge 
  • Collaborate with Data and Workflow teams to test and refine agents using structured feedback 
  • Document agent runbooks, use cases, and escalation paths 

Automation & Workflow Support 

  • Assist in creating Power Automate and n8n flows for invoice processing, HR onboarding, and ERP syncs
  • Collaborate with Workflow Team (Switch, WebCenter, Tilia) to map and digitize manual processes 
  • Support automation QA and track performance using ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus

Data Integration & Support 

  • Help align automations with Power BI and Fabric datasets to surface business insights 
  • Assist with structured API integrations (Amtech, Llumin, Helios, SmartCapture) 
  • Maintain flow documentation, logs, and testing steps 
  • Follow team standards for documentation, version control, and testing, and escalate blockers to the Lead early
  • Handle company and customer data in AI and automation tools according to IT security and data-handling policy

Skills to Bring or Build 

  • Interest in Power Platform, n8n, AI agents, and business process improvement
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation 
  • Exposure to JSON, Excel, or REST APIs (a plus) 
  • Comfort collaborating across business functions 
  • Growth mindset and a proactive “builder” attitude 
Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • 0–2 years in IT, data, business systems, or automation support 
  • Certificate or degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Tech, or equivalent 

Bonus Experience

  • Power Automate, Copilot Studio, n8n
  • Power BI, SmartCapture 
  • Amtech, Llumin, ERP systems
