ATSI is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and security-minded Office Administrator / Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support our Lexington Park, Maryland facility. This is a full-time, onsite position that serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day office operations while also providing direct support to ATSI's corporate security program.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements and other security-related duties. This individual will work closely with the Senior Vice President of HR & Security and will interact regularly with employees, Government customers, visitors, and company leadership.
Facility Security & AFSO Support
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of ATSI's industrial security program in accordance with applicable Government regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies and procedures.
• Process and manage personnel security actions, Visit Requests, and other security-related activities within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
• Assist with personnel security and investigation-related actions and record maintenance within NBIS and other applicable Government security systems.
• Maintain accurate and current security records, files, trackers, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation, review, administration, and maintenance of DD Form 254, Contract Security Classification Specifications, and related security documentation.
• Process and track employee foreign travel reporting, briefings, debriefings, and other required security reporting.
• Support the development, coordination, tracking, and documentation of annual security awareness training and other required security briefings for employees across the company.
• Assist with classified material accountability, storage requirements, end-of-day security checks, and required documentation.
• Support classified and unclassified meetings held at the Lexington Park facility, including visitor coordination, access requirements, meeting preparation, and security procedures.
• Process incoming and outgoing classified visit requests and coordinate access with Government and industry security personnel.
• Assist with security inspections, self-inspections, assessments, and preparation for Government reviews, including DCSA security reviews.
• Assist with employee security briefings, debriefings, nondisclosure agreements, and other personnel security requirements.
• Support badge, facility access, and visitor control processes for the Lexington Park facility.
• Help ensure classified areas, containers, records, and security documentation are maintained in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Identify potential security concerns or compliance issues and promptly elevate them to the Senior Vice President of HR & Security.
• Maintain confidentiality and appropriately safeguard sensitive, proprietary, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and classified information.
Office Administration & Facility Support
• Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for day-to-day operations of ATSI's Lexington Park office.
• Maintain a professional, organized, secure, and welcoming office environment.
• Coordinate and manage conference room reservations and meeting schedules.
• Serve as an onsite meeting host, as needed, for classified and unclassified meetings, including coordinating room setup, visitor access, technology, sign-in requirements, and other logistical needs.
• Coordinate visitors and ensure appropriate access and security procedures are followed.
• Manage office supplies, equipment, common areas, and general facility needs.
• Coordinate with building management, vendors, IT, and company leadership regarding facility-related needs, maintenance, access, and other office matters.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities for employees assigned to or utilizing the Lexington Park facility, including badges, access, equipment coordination, and security requirements.
• Maintain appropriate office and facility records, trackers, contact lists, and documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President of HR & Security and other company leadership or program personnel, as requested.
• Assist with correspondence, document preparation, scheduling, meeting coordination, data entry, filing, tracking action items, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Perform other administrative, security, and facility-related duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior administrative, office management, security, Government contracting, or related experience.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with employees, company leadership, Government customers, visitors, and external partners.
• Demonstrated discretion and ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work onsite in Lexington Park, Maryland, Monday through Friday for a 40-hour workweek.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience as an AFSO, FSO, Security Specialist, Personnel Security Specialist, or in a similar industrial security role.
• Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule).
• Experience using DISS, NBIS, & NISS Government security systems.
• Experience processing Visit Requests and personnel security actions.
• Familiarity with DD Form 254 requirements and administration.
• Experience supporting classified facilities, classified meetings, or classified material accountability and storage.
• Experience preparing for or participating in DCSA security reviews or facility self-inspections.
• Familiarity with foreign travel reporting, security education and awareness programs, and personnel security recordkeeping.
• Completion of applicable CDSE FSO/AFSO or industrial security training is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The successful candidate should be dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of an onsite office environment. Because this position serves as ATSI's day-to-day presence for both facility administration and security support in Lexington Park, the individual must exercise sound judgment, recognize when matters require escalation, and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
The position requires someone who can move comfortably between responsibilities - from coordinating a conference room or assisting an employee with building access to processing a security action in DISS or preparing documentation for a classified meeting. Strong follow-through, responsiveness, and attention to detail are essential.

Position Location
This position is based onsite at ATSI's Lexington Park, Maryland facility and requires regular attendance Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. The employee will work in an office environment that supports both classified and unclassified activities and must comply with all applicable company and Government security requirements.
Compensation: $50,000 - $90,000 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of ATSI's total compensation package. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience.
