JOB SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for the growth, profitability, and client satisfaction of a book of business containing complex priority accounts. They will serve as a subject matter expert and a senior individual contributor who manages large-scale projects, coaches team members, and solves complex problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Serve as a strategic relationship leader for assigned associations, aligning each organization’s goals, needs, and growth opportunities with AMBA’s capabilities, resources, products, marketing, and distribution channels.
· Manage, strengthen, and expand existing association relationships by serving as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to deliver measurable value to the association and its members.
· Drive new association partnership development across the United States, including prospecting, relationship development, discovery meetings, strategic presentations, board presentations, proposal development, and execution of new partnership agreements.
· Identify and pursue opportunities to expand AMBA’s marketing and distribution reach through existing and prospective associations, including access to members, non-members, active employees, retirees, local chapters, employers, events, digital audiences, and other eligible populations.
· Develop and deliver value-add strategic partnership presentations that demonstrate how AMBA can support association priorities such as membership growth and retention, member engagement, benefit access, marketing, non-dues revenue, and organizational growth.
· Expand and diversify the AMBA products and services available through existing association partnerships by identifying unmet member needs, introducing appropriate new products, and coordinating product launches and marketing opportunities.
· Leverage AMBA’s marketing and distribution capabilities—including direct mail, digital marketing, email, social media, web and landing pages, call center, field distribution, events, and other channels—to increase member engagement, product participation, and association growth.
· Work cross-functionally with AMBA Marketing, Distribution, Carrier Relations, Operations, Membership, Technology, and other teams to develop and execute association-specific strategies and opportunities.
· Proactively identify opportunities to provide additional strategic support to association partners beyond traditional benefit programs, strengthening AMBA’s position as a long-term growth and business partner.
· Develop and maintain an active pipeline of association prospects, expansion opportunities, new products, and marketing initiatives, with clear next steps, ownership, and accountability for advancing opportunities.
· Assist in developing and implementing workflows, processes, reporting, and best practices that improve the effectiveness and scalability of AMBA’s association partnerships.
· Represent AMBA at association conferences, board meetings, industry events, prospect meetings, and other opportunities that strengthen existing relationships and expand AMBA’s national association footprint.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience considered.
· 7+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, association management, account management, consultative sales, or client relations.
· Demonstrated success growing complex client relationships and developing new business opportunities, including work with executives, boards, and senior decision-makers.
· Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate organizational needs into partnership, marketing, product, and growth opportunities.
· Executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Proven ability to independently manage a portfolio of relationships and new-business opportunities while prioritizing multiple initiatives and delivering measurable results.
· Experience in the association, employee benefits, insurance, membership, affinity marketing, or financial services industries preferred; ability to travel nationally as needed.

technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
