Position Summary
The Systems Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The role provides customer-facing technical support, troubleshooting, break/fix coordination, system patch support, hardware disposition, inventory accountability, and incident request management. This position supports mission operations at Schriever Space Force Base and requires adaptability, dependable customer service, and effective collaboration in a fast-paced technical environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to customers, including basic inquiries, troubleshooting, break/fix needs, and touch maintenance using remote administrative tools or verbal guidance.
- Create and execute break/fix tickets for Tier 2 and Tier 3 support needs.
- Support the testing and installation of system patches.
- Support hardware disposition activities, including sanitization facilitation, excessing old or no longer needed assets, and CD or hard drive destruction when necessary.
- Maintain accurate inventory and support stock planning requirements.
- Maintain and manage the queue of incident requests (IRs).
- Support and respond to customer requirements identified through daily walks and check-ins.
- Perform IT Help Desk functions and coordinate break/fix and customer needs through various channels.
- Adapt to new technologies, changing situations, and short deadlines.
- Work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to a team environment.
- Communicate effectively with teams and customers regarding assigned efforts.
- Collaborate and cooperate across teams on a variety of efforts and functions.
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned duties, dependability, punctuality, and self-motivation.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess an active DoW Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain an active DoW Top Secret security clearance.
- Must have 2 or more years of general full-time work experience; requirement may be reduced with completion of advanced education.
- Must have 1 or more months of directly related experience.
- Must possess a DoW 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE or higher.
- Must have working experience with Microsoft Windows 11 operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ certification.
- CompTIA Network+ certification.
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- Experience with audio-visual systems.
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Environment Support.
- Experience with Active Directory.
- Understanding of Group Policies, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience working within the IRES and/or CLAW Organization.

Shift
Day shift. Primary duty hours are 0730-1600, Monday through Friday. Shift work may be necessary and may require occasional overtime, off-shift, or weekend work depending on task or event support needs.
