Concept Solutions is seeking a Windows System and Cloud Administrator operates within a hybrid environment (on-premise and cloud) supporting the FAA’s large-scale, mission-critical enterprise. This senior-level position is responsible for Windows Server administration, Active Directory management, and hybrid infrastructure operations across on-premise and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise Windows environments with demonstrated cloud competencies.
Windows Server & Infrastructure Administration
• Administer and support Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance monitoring
• Support the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing operation of CRU-X systems and related components; prior CRU-X experience is highly preferred.
• Manage Active Directory (AD), including user/group administration, Group Policy (GPO), and access controls
• Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Windows-based infrastructure
• Support integration of Windows environments with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AD, hybrid identity)
• Provide Systems Administration support for virtualization platforms such as VMware
Cloud & Hybrid Operations
• Support enterprise systems across on-premise and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS)
• Provision servers and services with Terraform/Ansible toolchain
• Support monitoring resources across cloud domains in Azure and AWS
• Support Security Compliance/POAM activities
Scripting, Automation & Maintenance
• Run reports and health checks using scripting technologies (PowerShell and/or Python)
• Perform administrative duties involving backup platforms
• Support network hardware/software, vulnerability, service pack, and security bulletins
Documentation & Collaboration
• Review, update, and maintain internal wikis and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and usability
• Identify documentation gaps and proactively enhance knowledge resources for the team
• Manage and resolve technical requests through formal ticketing systems
• Collaborate with team members, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and meet operational goals
• Follow established SOPs, change management, and governance processes to maintain system stability
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and service delivery
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees)
• Five (5) years of relevant experience.
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise Windows environments
• Familiarity with hybrid identity (on-prem AD + Azure AD)
• Basic experience or certification in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems and structured IT operations
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to document technical processes clearly and effectively
• Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell and/or Python)
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware)
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with CRU-X installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments
• Advanced cloud certifications or hands-on cloud administration experience
• Familiarity with AI tools or automation technologies
• Experience working in federal or highly regulated environments
Salary: $90K to $98K
Work Location and Schedule
• Primary Location: Remote
• Schedule: 40-hours a week from Monday through Friday, core hours 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM local time
• FAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)
