Assistant Kitchen Manager

For the Assistant Kitchen Manager, this means supporting Kitchen operations, assisting in team leadership, helping maintain product quality and consistency, and ensuring smooth daily workflows while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Your Day-to-Day
- Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment, maintaining standards, and assisting in resolving customer concerns
- Support daily department operations, including merchandising, inventory, ordering, and product quality, while helping minimize shrink and waste
- Assist in monitoring financial performance by supporting payroll, expense control, and department efficiencies
- Help hire, train, schedule, and develop team members, reinforcing a positive culture through communication, coaching, and accountability
- Support staffing coordination, attendance, and daily coverage to ensure smooth operations
- Step in to lead the team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager, ensuring continuity of operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety, labor laws, and company policies while maintaining clean and organized workspaces
- Assist with menu planning, promotions, and custom orders, collaborating with other departments as needed
- Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate records to support department and store goals
What you bring to the Farm
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to support Kitchen operations
- Working knowledge of kitchen functions; 3–5 years of kitchen experience with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to support, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Awareness of and ability to support company and support office initiatives
- Comfort with Windows programs and communication tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and store management
- Ability to model and reinforce Adams’ culture and values
- Enthusiasm, positivity, and knowledge of Adams’ products and quality standards
- Growth within Adams or similar experience demonstrating readiness to step into a leadership role
Working Conditions
- Must be 18 years old
- Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift
- Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee department operations
- Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
- Communicate with others to exchange information
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined space
