Job Overview

WinChoice seeks a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational reliability initiatives. This role is pivotal in designing scalable, secure systems and guiding the engineering team towards best practices, ensuring long-term stability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud architectures across multiple environments, ensuring security, resilience, and compliance.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, establishing standards for maintainability and reusability.
  • Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines, supporting automated testing, low-downtime deployments, and reliable rollback procedures.
  • Lead incident response efforts, coordinate communication during outages, and conduct postmortem analyses to prevent recurrence.
  • Establish security standards including secrets management, access controls, and patching, while monitoring system health through observability tools.
  • Mentor engineering team members through code reviews, technical guidance, and establishing best practices for infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Analyze cloud costs, identify optimization opportunities, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and manage expenditures
Requirements

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or related fields with a proven track record in designing and managing production cloud environments.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, including VPC design, IAM policies, and managed AWS solutions.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, including module development and state management.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, and experience with deployment automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead incident response, troubleshoot complex issues, and communicate technical risks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on technical documentation and stakeholder engagement.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Professional or Specialty certifications.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like EKS, ECS, or Kubernetes.
  • Background in supporting compliance standards such as SOC 2.
  • Knowledge of database deployment, migration, and rollback automation.
  • Experience with workforce identity federation, SSO, and customer identity platforms like AWS Cognito.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost management and FinOps practices.
  • Experience with supporting .NET applications and disaster recovery planning.
