MED-EL is seeking a Bilingual Program Manager to lead the growth and development of our Bilingual Program across the United States. This national role focuses on expanding access to MED-EL implantable hearing solutions within the Spanish-speaking community through culturally and linguistically appropriate engagement, education, and consumer support.
The National Bilingual Program Manager will serve as the primary liaison for bilingual Consumer Engagement Managers (CEMs) across the country and work closely with Consumer Engagement leadership, Regional Directors, Marketing, and field teams to develop strategies that increase referrals, consumer engagement, conversions, and upgrades within the Spanish-speaking market.
In addition to national program leadership, this position will have direct CEM responsibilities within an assigned geographic area, supporting cochlear implant candidates throughout their journey from initial engagement through surgery and activation.
What You'll Do:
Lead the National Bilingual Program
- Develop and execute strategies to increase awareness, referrals, and adoption of MED-EL implantable hearing solutions within the Spanish-speaking market.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to bilingual CEMs nationwide.
- Analyze referral, sales, and conversion data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Partner with regional teams to identify and develop bilingual mentors and strengthen referral pathways.
- Coordinate bilingual lead-generation events and consumer-focused initiatives across regions.
- Manage and report on quarterly business updates for the Bilingual Program.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and make the MED-EL experience more accessible for Spanish-speaking consumers.
Partner with Marketing & Community Stakeholders
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop culturally and linguistically appropriate materials for Spanish-speaking consumers, including presentations, emails, educational videos, website content, social media, candidate materials, and translations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key hearing centers and healthcare professionals in bilingual-focused markets.
- Provide education and training to centers, professionals, candidates, and recipients.
- Represent MED-EL at local, regional, and national conferences and consumer events through presentations, exhibits, and educational activities.
Support Cochlear Implant Candidates
- Serve as a key point of contact for Spanish-speaking cochlear implant candidates throughout the engagement process.
- Conduct consistent outreach through phone, email, and text to connect with candidates and maintain engagement.
- Track candidate interactions, lead ratings, questions, and progress within the CRM.
- Coordinate candidate calls and provide CEMs with relevant candidate information and priorities prior to appointments.
- Provide candidates with appropriate educational resources and materials.
- Support candidates through the transition from evaluation to surgery, activation, and ongoing recipient support.
- Document and follow up on complaints or concerns related to bilingual candidate and recipient engagement while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Direct CEM Responsibilities
- Manage candidate records and ensure timely CRM updates and follow-up.
- Initiate contact with new candidates and track engagement through conversion.
- Prepare new recipients for surgery and activation, including necessary documentation, orders, and scheduling.
- Maintain strong relationships with regional teams and key centers within the assigned territory.
- Help develop and maintain referral pathways and ongoing recipient support.
What We're Looking For
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in audiology.
- At least 5 years of experience in consumer engagement and cochlear implant technologies.
- Spanish fluency; Spanish as a first language is preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems and other relevant business software.
- Knowledge and application of MED-EL sales philosophies, including Integrity Selling and Relationship Edge.
- Experience within the hearing healthcare, cochlear implant, or related medical device industry is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must successfully complete MED-EL's 90-day onboarding program and required examinations with a score of 80% or higher.
- Approximately 50% overnight travel is expected, with occasional weekend travel for conferences, meetings, and team events.
