Job Summary

The Cerner Millennium Charge Services Analyst supports the implementation, configuration, maintenance, testing, and optimization of Cerner Millennium Charge Services within a healthcare organization. The analyst works closely with Revenue Cycle, Patient Accounting, HIM/Coding, Clinical, Finance, and IT teams to ensure that patient charges are captured accurately and routed correctly for billing.

The role typically focuses on charge capture, charge routing, charge configuration, charge validation, troubleshooting, testing, and revenue-cycle workflows.

Key Responsibilities

· Support and maintain Cerner Millennium Charge Services applications and related Revenue Cycle functionality.

· Analyze and troubleshoot missing, incorrect, duplicate, or incorrectly routed charges.

· Configure and maintain charge-related application components based on business requirements.

· Support charge capture from clinical and ancillary systems into the Revenue Cycle environment.

· Analyze charge flows between clinical applications, Charge Services, Patient Accounting, and downstream billing systems.

· Investigate charge errors and determine root causes.

· Work with Revenue Cycle and clinical departments to resolve charge-related issues.

· Gather and document business and functional requirements.

· Translate operational requirements into Cerner configuration solutions.

· Perform system configuration, testing, validation, and implementation activities.

· Develop test scenarios for new charges, services, procedures, and workflow changes.

· Conduct unit, integrated, regression, and user-acceptance testing.

· Validate that charges are correctly generated, priced, routed, and posted.

· Support charge master and charge-related maintenance as applicable to the organization's Cerner configuration.

· Assist with new service implementations and changes to existing services.

· Troubleshoot interfaces and charge feeds when charges fail to reach downstream systems.

· Participate in Cerner upgrades, system enhancements, conversions, and optimization projects.

· Document configuration, workflows, testing results, and production changes.

· Provide production support and respond to incidents involving charge capture and billing.

· Collaborate with application analysts, developers, interface teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

· Participate in go-live support and post-production stabilization.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent healthcare IT experience.

· Experience supporting Cerner Millennium applications.

· Experience with Charge Services, Patient Accounting, or Revenue Cycle preferred.

· Healthcare revenue-cycle knowledge.

· Experience with application configuration and testing.

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Experience documenting requirements, workflows, test scripts, and configuration.

· Ability to participate in implementations, upgrades, and production support.
