Job Title: International Credentials Evaluator (ICE)

Summary/objective
The International Credentials Evaluator (ICE) critically reviews and evaluates international credentials to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and completeness of documentation. ICEs determine applicant eligibility across TruMerit programs, supporting operational efficiency and organizational goals in a culturally diverse environment.
Essential Functions

- Critically evaluate applications and supporting materials for all levels and country PODS to determine applicant eligibility for applicable programs.
- Prepare detailed, accurate reports for foreign-educated nurses and other health professionals, meeting established productivity and quality standards.
- Handle complex applicant inquiries via phone, email, fax, or in-person visits, providing comprehensive correspondence to applicants, schools, professional healthcare boards, and other stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze operational data, making recommendations for procedural improvements that are operationally effective and fiscally responsible.
- Participate in departmental and cross-functional project teams and initiatives.
- Represent TruMerit at conferences and professional events as needed.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational priorities.
Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of a foreign language is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.

- Frequent use of computers and telephones, including screen viewing, typing, mouse navigation, and headset telephone operation.
Physical demands
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to move throughout the office or home workspace as needed.
Travel required
- Travel may be necessary for meetings, training, or special projects.
Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with concentrations in international affairs, international relations, political science, foreign languages, comparative education, or a related field. Relevant education, training, and/or equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred education and experience
- One year of full-time experience in international education credentials evaluation or admissions preferred.
- Knowledge of a foreign language is an asset.
