About the Job

Our ideal candidate is comfortable performing physical exams to determine if the patient is suitable for outpatient surgery, preparing patients for surgery, creating a safe and effective environment as well as promoting health and well-being.  

Position responsibilities: 

· Prepare patient for surgery 

· Verify patient information by interviewing patient, reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, confirming purpose of visit 

· Complete physical exams to determine patient eligibility prior to outpatient surgery

· Educate patients as needed

· Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment and test results

 Qualifications:

· Licensed or ability to obtain licensure within the state of Florida to practice

· Part-time availability Monday-Friday with a 7am start time

· Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

· Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail

· Must have knowledge of EHR, Excel and Word documents.

· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally

· Ability to maintain discretion, accuracy and confidentiality with all patients

· Must be able to frequently stand, sit and walk

· Computer skills
