A.? Overview  

Family Services of the Merrimack Valley (FSMV) is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Enrollment & Match Support Specialist to join our Stand & Deliver academic mentoring program. The Enrollment & Match Support Specialist is responsible for recruiting, enrolling, screening, matching, and supporting middle and high school students from Lawrence Public Schools and Greater Lawrence Technical School (GLTS), as well as volunteer mentors from Stand & Deliver’s corporate partners: Raytheon, Pfizer, and New Balance. This position helps create strong, successful mentoring relationships by assessing participants' interests and needs, making appropriate matches, and providing ongoing support to mentors, students, and parents/guardians. The Specialist will also collaborate with schools, corporate partners, families, and community stakeholders to support participant engagement and positive youth development. 

 B.? Key Duties and Responsibilities 

• Recruit, screen, interview, orient, and enroll volunteer mentors, including coordinating required background checks and training. 
• Recruit, interview, orient, and enroll students participating in the Stand & Deliver program. 
• Create mentor/mentee matches based on interests, preferences, strengths, and identified needs. 
• Provide ongoing match support to mentors, students, and parents/guardians to promote safe, positive, and successful mentoring relationships. 
• Conduct regular match-support check-ins, identify challenges or concerns, and develop action plans when additional support is needed. 
• Recognize and appropriately respond to child safety concerns in accordance with agency policies and procedures. 
• Build positive relationships with school liaisons, corporate partner coordinators, families, community partners, and other stakeholders. 
• Develop and implement strategies to strengthen parent/caregiver engagement. 
• Provide mentors with academic resources, program materials, and additional training as needed. 
• Participate in program activities and events, including program kickoffs, field trips, college panels, and end-of-year celebrations. 
• Administer mid-year and end-of-year surveys and evaluations with students, parents/guardians, and mentors. 
• Maintain accurate and timely participant records, match-support notes, and other required program documentation. 
• Participate in program outreach, recruitment, and match activities as needed. 
• Actively participate in the agency’s annual Bowl A Strike for Kids fundraising event by supporting Development staff with mentor and corporate partner participation, outreach, and sponsorship recruitment. 
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by communicating ideas, challenges, and successes openly and professionally. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Mentoring Manager. 

C. Required Qualifications 

• Associate degree in a related field; or with a minimum of two to three years of relevant work experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 
• Experience working with youth, families, volunteers, mentoring programs, case management, or community-based programs. 
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate effectively with youth, families, volunteers, schools, corporate partners, and community stakeholders. 
• Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and ability to work and communicate respectfully and effectively with diverse youth, families, and communities. 
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn electronic databases and other program management systems. 
• Self-motivated, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for program activities, events, and outreach. 
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, and relationship-building skills.? 
• Strong group facilitation and public speaking skills, including the ability to engage both small and large groups.? 
• Access to reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally and throughout Massachusetts for agency and program-related business. 

D. Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse youth and families.? 
• Experience supporting LGBTQ+ youth and families inclusively and respectfully.? 
• Knowledge of Lawrence and the Greater Lawrence community, including community resources available to youth and families.? 
• Experience with youth mentoring, case management, group facilitation, or evidence-based youth development curricula.?

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

• This is a full-time, 32 hours per week, non-exempt benefited position with a pay range of $21-22 per hour, commensurate upon experience.
