JOB DESCRIPTION

Cochise MTS LLC is seeking an experienced U.S. Army MOS 91A – M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer to serve as the 91A40 M1 Abrams Systems Maintenance Advisor 1 (ASMA1) supporting the M1A2T Abrams Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT) at the Armor Training Center (ATC) in Hukou, Taiwan.

The ASMA1 serves as the TAFT's M1A2T hull and systems maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME). The advisor provides technical expertise and hands-on assistance to Taiwan Army maintainers in the maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of M1 Abrams automotive and hull systems.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced 91A to apply their U.S. Army Abrams maintenance experience in an international technical assistance and training environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the M1A2T hull maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Advise and assist Taiwan Army maintainers with troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of M1 Abrams systems.
• Provide hands-on instruction, training, and mentorship to improve maintenance proficiency and self-sufficiency.
• Assist maintainers in identifying system faults and determining appropriate corrective actions.
• Provide technical expertise related to M1 Abrams automotive and hull systems.
• Support HVAC maintenance and repair when applicable.
• Identify maintenance, training, tooling, parts, and technical support deficiencies.
• Provide recommendations to TAFT leadership regarding identified maintenance and support deficiencies.
• Assist in improving the Taiwan Army's ability to independently troubleshoot, maintain, and repair M1A2T systems.
• Apply U.S. Army M1 Abrams maintenance experience to support the successful implementation of the M1A2T maintenance program.
• Perform other related maintenance advisory and training duties as required by the program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• U.S. Army MOS 91A – M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a MOS 91A in a U.S. Army M1 Abrams Battalion or Brigade.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and troubleshooting M1 Abrams systems.
• Experience providing maintenance assistance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of M1 Abrams systems.
• Ability to provide hands-on instruction and mentorship to military maintainers.
• Ability to identify maintenance deficiencies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• U.S. Army HVAC repair experience.
• Experience providing maintenance training or mentorship to other maintainers.
• Experience in a leadership, maintenance supervision, or maintenance advisory role.
• Additional experience with M1A2 Abrams systems is highly desirable.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate is a former or current U.S. Army 91A M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer with at least five years of experience supporting an M1 Abrams Battalion or Brigade. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on Abrams maintenance knowledge and the ability to train, mentor, troubleshoot, and advise Taiwan Army maintainers.
