JOB DESCRIPTION

Cochise MTS LLC is seeking an experienced U.S. Army MOS 91X – M1 Abrams Maintenance Supervisor to serve as the 91X40 M1 Abrams Fire Control Repair Advisor 1 (AFCR1) supporting the M1A2T Abrams Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT) at the Armor Training Center (ATC) in Hukou, Taiwan.

The AFCR1 serves as the TAFT's M1A2T turret maintenance and fire-control Subject Matter Expert (SME). The advisor provides technical expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of M1 Abrams turret systems while supporting the development of Taiwan Army maintenance capability and self-sufficiency.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced U.S. Army 91X to apply their M1 Abrams turret and fire-control maintenance experience in an international technical assistance and training environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the M1A2T turret maintenance and fire-control Subject Matter Expert (SME) at the Armor Training Center in Hukou, Taiwan.
• Advise and assist Taiwan Army maintainers in troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining M1A2T turret systems.
• Provide hands-on technical instruction, training, and mentorship to improve host-nation maintenance proficiency and self-sufficiency.
• Assist maintainers with identifying faults, determining appropriate corrective actions, and applying proper maintenance procedures and standards.
• Provide technical expertise in the repair and maintenance of M1 Abrams turret systems.
• Support maintenance activities involving the Army CROWS system when within the advisor's experience and scope.
• Provide expertise with HVAC-related maintenance when applicable.
• Identify recurring maintenance, training, tooling, parts, and technical-support deficiencies.
• Provide recommendations to TAFT leadership and U.S. Government representatives regarding identified deficiencies and required support.
• Promote safe maintenance practices and proper maintenance procedures.
• Support efforts to improve overall M1A2T readiness and maintenance capability.
• Perform other related maintenance advisory and training duties as required by the program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• U.S. Army MOS 91X experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a MOS 91X in a U.S. Army M1 Abrams Battalion or Brigade.
• Demonstrated experience with M1 Abrams turret systems.
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining M1 Abrams turret systems.
• Ability to serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert and provide maintenance advice to host-nation personnel.
• Ability to provide hands-on technical instruction and mentorship to military maintainers.
• Ability to identify maintenance deficiencies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of proper maintenance procedures, standards, and safe maintenance practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Army CROWS system maintenance experience.
• U.S. Army HVAC repair experience.
• Additional M1 Abrams turret and fire-control maintenance experience.
• Experience providing maintenance training or mentorship to other maintainers.
• Experience in a maintenance leadership, supervisory, or advisory role.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate is a former or current U.S. Army 91X with at least five years of experience supporting an M1 Abrams Battalion or Brigade and strong knowledge of M1 Abrams turret and fire-control systems.

Candidates with Army CROWS maintenance experience and U.S. Army HVAC repair experience are highly preferred.
