Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented GMP Cleaner / Environmental Services Technician to maintain the highest standards of sanitation, hygiene, and contamination control across our biotechnology facility. This role is divided between strict cGMP-regulated cleanroom environments (ISO classified spaces) and standard corporate office spaces. The ideal candidate will seamlessly transition between specialized cleanroom sanitization protocols and general facility upkeep, ensuring absolute compliance with biotechnology safety, quality, and operational guidelines.

Core Responsibilities

Biotech Cleanroom & GMP Environments:

· Gowning & PPE Compliance: Strictly adhere to multi-stage gowning procedures, including the proper use of cleanroom suits, hoods, masks, gloves, and dedicated footwear prior to entering classified environments.

· Sanitization & Chemical Rotation: Perform deep cleaning, mopping, and wiping of cleanroom walls, ceilings, floors, and equipment using site-approved sanitizing agents and chemical rotation schedules.

· Contamination Control: Execute all cleaning techniques (e.g., unidirectional wiping, top-to-bottom cleaning) precisely as written to prevent microbial and particulate contamination.

· Good Documentation Practices (GDP): Accurately document all cleaning and sanitization activities in physical logs and electronic systems in real-time, maintaining strict audit-readiness.

· SOP & Safety Adherence: Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety data sheets (SDS), and hazardous waste disposal guidelines at all times.

Office & Common Area Environments:

· General Custodial Duties: Dust, wipe, and vacuum corporate offices, conference rooms, hallways, and reception spaces to maintain an organized appearance.

· Restroom & Breakroom Care: Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms and kitchen/breakroom areas daily.

· Waste & Recycling Management: Collect and dispose of standard office trash, recyclables, and non-hazardous waste according to facility programs.

· Inventory Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, gowning materials, and consumable provisions for both office and cleanroom spaces.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Experience: Prior cleaning experience in a regulated industry (Biotech, Pharma, Medical Device, or Healthcare) is highly preferred, but corporate janitorial experience with a willingness to learn GMP will be considered.

· Technical Skills: Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) is a significant plus.

· Physical Demands: Ability to stand, bend, stretch, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably wear restrictive cleanroom PPE for hours at a time.

· Attributes: Extreme attention to detail, reliability, and strong communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position requires working in both dynamic corporate offices and highly controlled cleanrooms with specialized ventilation. Candidates must be comfortable working around laboratory equipment and chemical sanitizers.
