Buck Knives is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Store Clerk to join our Factory Store team.

This is more than a traditional retail position. As a Retail Store Clerk, you will often be one of the first people our customers, visitors, vendors, and guests interact with when they arrive at Buck Knives. You will help create a welcoming experience while assisting customers in our Factory Store, conducting factory tours, answering questions, processing purchases, and supporting the day-to-day operations of our lobby, museum, and store.

What You'll Do

As a Retail Store Clerk, you will:

• Deliver friendly, professional, and knowledgeable customer service to customers and guests.
• Greet visitors and help create a positive first impression of Buck Knives.
• Assist customers with questions about Buck Knives products and general company information.
• Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
• Conduct Buck Knives factory tours for customers and visitors.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, provide information, and direct calls to the appropriate department.
• Schedule factory tours and maintain tour information using Microsoft Outlook.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Factory Store, lobby, and museum area.
• Welcome scheduled guests, assist with visitor check-in, and provide guest badges when applicable.
• Create welcome signs for scheduled visitors and guests.
• Sort and process incoming mail.
• Provide backup support to the Factory Store and Warranty Department as needed.
• Assist with employment-related inquiries.
• Safely handle knives, merchandise, and other products as required.
• Follow all company safety practices, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with additional duties and special events as needed.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least three months of related customer service, retail, office, or similar experience preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.

Schedule & Availability

• Candidates must have open availability Monday through Saturday.
• This position may require schedule flexibility based on Factory Store needs. 
• Required overtime and participation in special sales events will occur throughout the year.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, using hands to handle merchandise and equipment, and communicating with customers and coworkers.

Employees must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
