Description
We are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility.
This is a multi-functional leadership position combining Production Management, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Plant Operations. The Plant Manager will be responsible for keeping production organized, materials available, employees on task, and customer orders moving through the factory on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production schedules, workflow, and deadlines.
- Oversee production from cutting and sewing through filling, QC, packing, and shipping.
- Lead employees, assign daily priorities, and monitor productivity and performance.
- Manage inventory and ensure materials are available for upcoming orders.
- Oversee receiving, material organization, and inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate shipping, freight, deliveries, and customer pickups.
- Identify and resolve production delays, material shortages, and quality issues.
- Maintain an organized, efficient, safe, and productive facility.
- Help implement and maintain SOPs and quality-control procedures.
- Communicate production progress, staffing needs, inventory concerns, and operational issues with ownership and administration.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or plant operations experience.
- Previous leadership or management experience.
- Experience with production scheduling, inventory, and/or logistics.
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities.
- Hands-on leadership style and ability to hold employees accountable.
- Furniture, textile, sewing, upholstery, or similar manufacturing experience is a plus.
