The Role

We're looking for motivated Software Development Interns to join our Application Development team on an ongoing, year-round basis. This is a paid, part-time internship built to give students real, hands-on experience, building, testing, and supporting live client and internal applications alongside our development team. You'll work under the mentorship of experienced developers, contribute to real projects from day one, and build the foundation for a potential future full-time Software Developer role at SSR.

What You'll Do

• Learn to design, develop, test, and debug code across SSR's core stack (C#/.NET, JavaScript/Angular, SQL Server), under the guidance of a mentor
• Assist the development team with client and internal projects, including data integration, mobile app development, and custom software solutions
• Support existing SSR and client software products with maintenance, testing, and enhancement tasks
• Participate in requirements-gathering discussions to learn how customer needs become technical specifications
• Get hands-on exposure to modern delivery practices, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude)
• Assist with research projects and internal tooling initiatives as assigned
• Communicate and collaborate professionally with both clients and internal stakeholders

Required:

• Actively pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• Coursework or personal-project experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g. C#, Java, Python, JavaScript)
• Willingness to learn SSR's core stack (C#/.NET, JavaScript/Angular, SQL) if not already familiar with it
• Strong communication skills and a genuine eagerness to learn in a mentorship-driven environment
• Reliable availability of at least 10 hours per week, on a schedule coordinated with your manager around your class schedule

Preferred:

• Exposure to Git or another version control system
• Familiarity with a cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Interest in AI/agentic development, mobile frameworks (.NET MAUI, React Native, Flutter), or data engineering tools
• Prior internship, co-op, or personal-project experience building or testing software
