Position Purpose:
The Manager, Event Technology & Experience, plays a key role in delivering seamless, engaging, and accessible WorldatWork events across in-person and digital experiences. Serving as the internal lead for event registration and registration technology, this position oversees registration operations, systems and integrations, analyzes data to inform registration and revenue trends, and supports the broader event technology ecosystem, including digital event platforms and conference apps. The Manager, Event Technology & Experience also leads accessibility and accommodation services to ensure inclusive attendee experience and supports onsite event operations and logistics. Highly collaborative, tech-savvy, data-driven, and service-oriented, this role works across teams to continually improve the attendee experience and ensure events are executed accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This position has high visibility and significant interaction with the member volunteers, speakers, leaders, and partner organizations. This position supports the goals and mission of WorldatWork.

Primary Responsibilities:
Event Registration (40%):
- Serves as team lead for all conference event registration, including creating and monitoring policies and procedures and registration rates.
- Regular registration reporting across all registration systems to track registration counts, revenue projection, and marketing promotions. Analyzes registration data and trends for the benefit of the event business.
- Oversee onsite registration materials (badges, bags, ribbons, lanyards, printed materials, WorldatWork, and sponsor branded items).
- Works closely with the team to plan floor plans and logistical needs, including electricity and internet.
- Plans and leads staffing and security needs onsite at registration service locations.
- Troubleshoots registration issues by working closely with CET
- Contributes to all registration-related attendee communications.
- Creates and tracks the use of all registration promo codes for all events
- Oversees all event registration systems and integrations
- Oversees creation of event products in Salesforce, such as in-person and digital event registration, sponsorship, conference add-ons, and more as needed.
- Collaborates with team and delivers on WorldatWork’s conference accessibility & accommodations program based on an attendee’s journey from start to finish.
- Manages services and logistics including but not limited to American Sign Language (ASL) and Communication Assisted Real-time Translation (CART) interpreters, other hard of hearing services, foreign language translation, mobility assistance such as scooters and wheelchairs, gender-neutral restrooms, lactation rooms, reserved seating, and more.
- Through registration data collection of demographics, dietary requirements, allergies, and special needs, ensures all accessibility requests are met at WorldatWork events.
Event Technology (30%):
- Participates in technology integrations and project manages timelines, and overall product delivery
- Supports our event technology stack, by managing the build and integrations for all digital event platforms, Call for Speakers, and conference apps
- Tests projects for user experience (UX) and clarity
- Must have a strong interest in technology trends and solutions and previous experience in project managing API integrations
- Assists with updates to the event website to ensure event information is up to date and accurate
- Help facilitate speaker tech checks and produce digital events, ensuring all technical requirements are met and providing assistance to speakers for a smooth and professional presentation
- Works with the Research team to create surveys for each event to collect participant feedback to improve future events
- Serves as a hands-on user of webinar and virtual-event platforms
- Manages the technical configuration required to deliver events
- Troubleshoot technical issues involving presenters and participants
Event Support (20%)
- Supports other areas of our event experience delivery, including food and beverage, transportation, freight management, budget management, and more
- Supports session logistics
- Performs other duties as assigned to support WorldatWork events
- Supports volunteer program at TR, including volunteer training prior to TR
Webinar Production (10%)
- Coordinates webinars and other digital events, including scheduling, content development, technology, and logistics
- Manages the technical setup of webinars
- Provides technical support for presenters and attendees before and during events
- Facilitates participant engagement, including live Q&A and discussions
*Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods, or otherwise to contribute to the organization when needed.
*Provide outstanding customer service both internally and external, while performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Three years managing a team with responsibility for business results.
- Five plus years of experience in events, marketing, or digital production

- Proficiency in Advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and database management systems. Experience with association management software is desired but not required.
- Experience/familiarity with Swoogo, SpotMe and Salesforce is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position oversees one (1) position, Specialist, Digital Events.
TRAVEL:
Ability to travel up to 10%.
At WorldatWork, we offer a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package. The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus with a target of 10% of base salary. This position may be worked remotely.
