Description

Responsible for organizing with the Production Supervisor among other management to create the video image in camera during video productions and to meet Answers in Genesis’ high aesthetic standards. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion.


Responsibilities

  • Promote the Answers in Genesis mission and standards.
  • Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
  • Assist with camera set-up and operation during video production.
  • Conceptualize camera framing and movement.
  • Maintain all camera equipment; bodies, lenses, and camera support.
  • Maintain camera media workflow of card transfers and formatting.
  • Operate a camera and/or technical direct live switch during life events.
  • Assist with grip and electric set-up and tear down during video production.
  • Maintain and organize equipment.
  • Video editing as needed.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment necessary (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to drive large vehicles necessary (box trucks that do not require a CDL)
  • Occasional travel is required
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Commitment to Christ and AiG mission.
  • Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church.
  • Must be willing and able to have a flexible work schedule outside of “normal” operating hours
  • Must be able to work some weekends
  • Must be able to lift 65 lbs. and able to climb ladders
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to see jobs through to completion
  • And above all, must have a servant’s heart
  • Knowledge of multiple professional camera systems (Examples: Red and Canon)
  • Knowledge of modern camera support equipment (tripods, stabilizers, and dollies)
  • Knowledge of modern camera operation techniques
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask and time management
  • Basic understanding of the video editing

 

Education & Experience

  • 1-3 years of camera operating and video production experience required
  • Degree in video production a plus but not required
  • Interest in lighting and grip techniques is a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere CC is a plus
  • Interest in drone videography is a plus
