Standardized Schedules for the following shifts:    Know what your schedule is each week - no surprises  


6am-2pm

2pm-10pm 

10pm-6am 


** Weekday Shift Differential of $1.00/hr for 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am **

** Weekend Shift Differential of $1.50/hr Friday 2:00pm though Monday 6:00am ** 


Overtime opportunities - up to 16 hours per week as needed.

Position Purpose:

To be accountable for directing the daily operations of assigned group home or crisis home in an efficient and effective manner. Responsible for the supervision of assigned shifts of all group home services to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of quality which have been established by the organization and the relevant regulatory bodies.


PROFESSIONAL SKILLS/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 


Program Management

  • Assist in implementing the Individual Support Plans, Behavior Support Plans (BSP) as well as all programs
  • Assist in transporting individuals as needed (scheduled medical appointments, shopping, community outings, etc.)
  • Ensure medical needs of individuals are being addressed according to individuals’ ISP and the policies and procedures of CSP.
  • Administer medications to all individuals and complete all documentation for medication administration.
  • Ensure proper and timely completion of all documentation on shift and other required tasks.
  • Fill in as needed in providing direct service to individuals, including attending to the individuals’ personal care (toileting, feeding, medication administration, etc.) and implementing ISP/BSP and programs.
  • Problem-solve situations and communicate quickly and effectively to involved parties as needed.
  • Assist in supervision of Implementers by observing, reporting, evaluating performance, modeling and providing feedback and support.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and appointments as scheduled.
  • Assist in basic household needs (maintenance, chores, meal preparation, shopping, etc.)
  • Assist in vehicle upkeep and maintenance as needed.
  • Assist in an on call rotation.
  • Monitor and complete all financial needs for the house and individuals.
  • Carry out and ensure all staff observes CSP’s policies and safety procedures.
  • Ensure the health and safety of each individual is met for each shift.
  • Work shifts at all CSP group homes when needed.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


Management/Leadership

  • Serve as a role model to establish and foster a positive culture based on trust, respect, collaboration and integrity. 
  • Will work in conjunction with Assistant House Manager and House Manager to perform needed supervisory functions.


Other Duties

  • Perform other duties and special projects to support various organizational initiatives, as assigned.
  • Responsible, either directly or indirectly, for filing all expense reports according to company policy.
  • Responsible, either directly or indirectly, for completing time reports on or before the defined due date.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, experience, training and specific skills to fulfill the primary responsibilities and duties of the job):


Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 months management and supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working with challenging behaviors is preferred

  

Training and Specific Skills and Abilities:

  • Must pass all required background checks and required training. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be med aide certified.
  • Know how to effectively utilize and professionally respond to email, phone or facsimile communication.
  • Have the ability to solve problems regarding services and supports provided to individuals.
  • Communicate effectively and display professionalism when working with individuals, their families, and all other stakeholders.
  • Able to work both independently and within a team atmosphere.
  • Display a positive attitude while demonstrating dependability, promptness and responsibility
  • Must have strong oral and written skills.
  • Must be able to follow company policies and state regulations in regard to operating a group home or crisis home.
  • Must have the ability to assist the Assistant House Manager and/or House Manager in leading a team of staff and interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Must be able to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Have a safe and valid driver’s license. 
  • Must be available weekend shifts as assigned.

JOB CONTACTS:

  • Assistant House Manager and/or House Manager to provide input on strategic decisions for the Program and to report on program progress, problems and solutions. 
  • All levels of the organization to guide, direct, provide feedback, and to gather and/or share information.  
  • Clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction, and to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • National organizations, constituent organizations, potential customers to represent KCBHH, engage in discussion to further the business.
